My presence will be more subdued as I’m putting my game together lol

I’m not 100% on the need for that possessive, but it’s cinco de mayo and I may or may not have been over served 👍

Bump for the across-the-ponder’s

Maybe one more game… for old times’ sake. in

You’re doing great. You just need to get used to playing with people who have all been committed to insane asylums. You knew that, right?
-
That’s… well… heavy Hopefully this can shed some light on things: you’ve come into the game at a point when a lot of us haven’t played or seen each other for years, so there’s gonna be a lot of nostalgia and maybe a lack of focus on new players. And knowing the history of emo as a technique should be comforting, at least I hope it is. And last, this is, at its core, a game about deception: spotting it and practicing it. Going into it with a rigid view of “village is good and wolves are bad” is like driving a car without shock absorbers. It’s gonna hurt lol. Take Ithi for instance - she seems nice when you talk to her day to day, but lurking inside is a completely evil super-villain that revels in torturing all of our mindsets. You gotta watch out for people like that! 🤣

At the time Darthe posted the quote that you used, it was still murky (to me anyway, maybe because I had long conversations about my role) and Darthe did come back after and say it was confusing. But more than that, it was your tone and approach that pinged me and I wish I had done a better job of explaining that. You had gone full-tilt emo on so many posts, and then you answered that one so succinctly and confidently that I thought that’s a big change in tone - how could he be so confident? By the time Ithi dug it up, it had been clarified again by Darthe and because I used specific terms in my suss, everyone got focused on those, making it possible for Ithi to exploit. @HeavyHalfMoonBlade I have a real question- was the emo real? Do you know that faux emo is a fairly common technique for scum to use in backing people off points they don’t want discussed?
-
She knew it too - she posted the “never tell me the odds” gif FML

I was playing over-the-top as far as the theatrics went, but I have to fall on my sword when it comes to me saying they should have strong-manned you on N1 I genuinely didn’t see that play coming. Lolme. There were so many ways it could have gone wrong for them, but Ithi was Han Solo flying through the asteroid field and I swallowed it him-line-and-sinker.

Key’s game is first, but then sign ups will be ON 👍
-
You can’t be all that surprised - look at it in reverse and tell me you would have believed me if I claimed cop on d1 to avoid a lynch. Your picks for scum did border on uncanny tho. Just bad luck getting shut down on d1. And worse luck have Ithi mastermind a plot that destroyed the town from the inside out 🤷♂️ I owe you a rum 🍹

Excellent game sir! 🙏👍
-
Automistake I would think it’s not a technique or a player mistake. Just one thumbin’ it on the phone lol
-
Lol, everyone knew Rand was the doc or the cop - he was fishing reveals like Capt. Ahab
-
It was combo of events that did not benefit the town, definitely. But agreed about the perseverance - Ithi or Key could’ve misstepped at any time. Plus, they had to pivot nearly every day. All that takes planning and balance to the nth degree. Cop outed in D1, Mafia lynch on D2 and Doc NK on N2 with all of the shenanigans in between. They did a killer job lol
-
I heard that he’s gonna start using “skibidi” instead of “giggity”.
-
If I hold up a mirror and look at the game in reverse, I still don’t want to see that play working. And now I have to see it. From now on, every time something isn’t making sense I have to wonder if mafia is “pulling an Ithi”. It is wonderfully evil lol
-
The part you can’t see until you’ve played a fair number of games is that everyone feels invisible. Everyone thinks everyone is being coached, or working together, or slanking, or seems wolfy, and on and on. The idea of an informed minority vs an uninformed majority is to enhance and encourage the suspicion that already exists from being in a small group knowing that the killer(s) are next to you. The town is blind which lends itself to the emotional rollercoaster for everyone. And we all keep getting back in line to ride again lol 🤷♂️
-
But the absolute correct reference - OMFG I can’t catch a break this game.
-
IKR lol Still trying to wrap my head around that lol.
-
I won’t be making promises or hinting lol Just trying to muddy the mafia’s water for once.
-
lol Marsh, for whatever reason ? you just don’t want see the game. I’m the leading candidate for the nk because everyone knows I’m town. Leaving me on the board increases the town’s chances of lynching scum tomorrow, so they want my slot dead. Might as well make ‘em work for it.

2 mafia 5 town Its sweepstakes time I spent the last two nights holstering out of fear that if the person I hid behind got hit, I would double the body count. But now it would be a waste if I didn’t tease the 2 mafia - where should I hide? As it stands, I’m not cc’d so I can not hide and avoid the possibility of double kills. And I’m fine with that. But, if I draw the kill and mafia misses, that buys us another extra day . So we need to talk about it. The more conversation, the better for town. Let’s play Where Should The Hider Hide Tonight?! 🏴☠️
