  1. Her hot temper is significantly cooled now lol. She was taught the hard way. That might work. I don't think him getting injured would work. She wouldn't bond him without his consent. I'm hoping that you can become a warder without having to train in the warders yard, but I'm not sure on the rules there.

He looks good btw. Also he'll have to talk with the Illian accent - if I see no "do bes" I'll be disappointed lol

  2. This is about what I have so far, do you think he would fit well with Kira? I haven't come to design his look yet.

    Ivo Pylos

Tall Illianer. Red-faced, caring yet pessimistic. Plays an instrument. Likes cats, from whom he learned how to stare unnervingly. Has unruly hair and is always eager to reach inns because they have baths. Dresses in a lot of grey and generally less classy than he is entitled to.

Character concept I can flesh out in a few hours but I won't have a lot of time to sketch a good image until maybe sunday??

He'd probably get along well with Kira!

With regards to plans, I'm willing to work with you on that.  I need someone to write with!

  3. Kira was in her room in the Great Tree Inn in Cairhein.  She had traveled from the White Tower to do her cause - educating.  It was a job she did well, but she always felt she could do more.  Perhaps she could become a part of the eyes and ears of the blues, but she wasn't sure.  Sitting back wasn't something that she held fast to.

Fighting against the shadow.  She felt that pull and Kira always had wondered if choosing the Blue instead of the Green Ajah had been the right choice.  Even with her doubts, She had felt that it was the right one.  Something inside her told her that she was a Blue.  If she was to fight the Shadow though, a Warder would be a necessity.  Perhaps it was time to leave Cairhein and their obnoxious Great Game and head to the Borderlands.  She would surely find someone who could fight the Shadow there and would have the skill to back it up.

Irritated, Kira stood and left her room to go to the common room.  She could order some food and eat it in her room if necessary, but the room was getting depressing.  Kira wondered where she should go next.

  4. I cannot do schoolwork while listening to music because it distracts me. I can do chores such as cleaning while listening. I listen to upbeat music. Disney, country, pop, rock, classical, anything but jazz really.

Yesterday I committed to learning to play the bagpipes.

This made me think of this.

  5. Karoan smiled.  Tannyr was catching on fast and that boded well for him. He would adjust well.  At least Karoan thought he would.  There were certain parts the pup would struggle with based on his background.

"We will teach you to control all of your abilities including those that are more harmful.  We will teach you these to protect yourself and others. And it's okay that you have questions.  That's why I'm here." Karoan gave him an encouraging smile. "YOur senses are keener and you will get used to dealing with that.  Smell will tell you many things - eventually you'll be able to interpret emotions from it as well."

Killing - He wouldn't have to kill.  Karoan knew that, but there was part of this he wouldn't like.  "We will help you control the rage and the hunger.  We are not mindless killing beasts.  We do not expect you to kill anyone, but we do expect you to learn how to defend yourself and your fellow wolfkin."

He sighed, making sure to look at the young man. "Basic skills only - again you won't have to kill anyone.  There are those among us who are dedicated to healing.  You will have options.  And a choice of what you choose to use.  I know Tuath'an don't like violence and really don't like swords."

  6. Karoan laughed.  The pup would learn eventually, but his reaction was very interesting.  There was more to notice though.  The look that Tannyr gave the wolf - the recognition in his eyes.  He didn't just see a beast.  That would be good for him in the long run.

"Yes - I saw it to.  It's how they talk to us - through images.  In time you will learn to decipher what they are trying to say to you.  Wolves are very intelligent, and rather poetic as well.  It's hard to put what they are saying into exact words.  For example, Breeze's name is actually more like. 'The Quiet Morning Wind Moves the Gentle Grass Calmly and Smoothly,' or something like that. They are also prideful."

Karoan stoked the fire for a bit. "I could tell you what the message he sent meant, but I think it would be better for you to try on your own.  What do you think he said?"

  7. Karoan helped the pup to his feet and back down to a sitting posture.  There was a wound on his head.  Karoan had some bandages in his pack that would at least cover it.  He had no doubt the pup would be fine though. Karoan almost had to chuckled when the Tinker began to wolf down (no pun intended) his food. He was clearly very hungry.  Karoan, for his part, finished his food with a little more grace.

Breeze went and laid down at the edge of their "camp." He wasn't interested in their cooked food and would likely hunt for his own later.  There wasn't the distrust the wolf felt for the boy before before.  The wolf had patience, however, and ultimately they were there to make sure the Tinker didn't hurt himself or anyone else - a thought that Karoan found odd.  Clearly the boy had hurt someone.  It explained why he was by himself.

The boy finished his food, licking his plate and fingers.  Karoan did laugh when he said he had to work on control.  He was clearly embarrassed although there was no reason to be.  "It's fine and you're welcome.  You'll get used to all of this eventually, although it might take time.  My name's Karoan - Karoan Vear. This -" He gestured to the wolf. "Is Whispering Breeze."

Karoan was aware that Breeze sent the pup an image.  It was how they communicated.  He was only aware because the wolf had told him he had done so.  An image of a rising sun.  Karoan knew it was a greeting, but whether or not Tannyr knew they would soon find out.

  8. The lad began to cry.  Karoan was a fatherly type.  He wouldn't hold it against him, nor would he judge him for it.  The Howling could be painful especially emotionally.  He had lost control.  He had killed.  No one dealt well with that.  Karoan couldn't imagine how a peaceful Tinker would deal with it.  He had been abandoned by his clan.  Karoan sent images to Breeze asking the wolf to get up.  The wolf complied, but sat nearby, an ear twitching.

"You are not a mindless beast. You don't know how to control what you have.  That's why we are here.  We can take you somewhere where you can learn how to control yourself safely," Karoan said calmly, kneeling down so he didn't tower over the lad. "I didn't get here fast enough - for that I am sorry.  I can't imagine the pain and confusion you feel right now.  We can't undo what has happened and as far as attacking me, I'm not surprised and all is forgiven.  You are a human and you are not turning into a wolf.  You have wolf-like abilities and qualities, but you are not a wolf and you won't lose control on my watch."

Karoan reached out a hand to help the young man up. "You've lost your family and I'm sure you feel very alone. It's a feeling I know." Karoan briefly remembered the fire. "I offer you a new family - a group of people like us who are completely control of what we are."

  9. Lol its okay. I've just not played this one so I not familiar enough to contribute. I'm not horribly familiar with any FF game after FFX2 I'm afraid. Of them I know 9 probably the best.

From the Golden Age of FF XD

XV is good - I think they did a phenomenal job with it. And you get to meet the guy that is my avatar so...yeah he's awesome.
