  1. The two men moved to grab her and she swung her knife, holding them back.  She heard grunts and the sound of a blunt object hitting flesh and bone.  The men finally got close to her, one of them grabbing her knife wrist.  Held back, they tried to force the knife from her hands.  Kira was playing the damsel in distress right now, so she fought, but allowed them to take the knife from her.  Saidar flowed through her, a bright light only awaiting her instructions to be given form.  The sweetness of it filled her and she resisted the urge to use it.  She still wanted to see how the Illianer reacted.

Deprived of her hands, she used her feet, kicking at the the attackers.  One foot found its mark and the man groaned in pain and let her go again.  Given back the freedom of one arm, she swung at her other attacker.  She connected with a crack, and the man staggered, but maintained his grip.  Kira used every advantage, and continued to hit the attacker.  Under the onslaught, he eventually let go to cover his face.  Kira stopped attacking to retreat and get her knife again. Both assailants were looking at her, one still bleeding from the slice on his arm. The other had a bruise forming on his face.  There was anger in their face.  Now they only wanted to attack to receive vengeance on the woman.  Kira watched and waited.

  2. ((OoC: Again - sorry for the delay))

A woman had approached and she stood with the deadly grace of a Warder. Ignis nodded at her in greeting, and a slight smile appeared at the corner of his mouth as she spoke.  This made Ignis glad to be here.  At the very least, he liked these two.

"A welcome would be fine," He said with a smile. "I'm not sure I've been here long enough to warrant a beer. I'm Ignis."

Ignis looked around.  A few worked at their forms in the nearby yard, more experienced ones offering suggestions and the like.  "I think I might take some time to practice my forms.  I don't start my duty until tomorrow. Maybe I'll earn a beer." he said with a grin.

  3. Ignis nodded in thanks to the Warder. "Thank you Kynwric Gaidin. Please excuse me for a moment."

Ignis excused himself into the building and found the Master at Arms, a man named Kilrin.  Ignis approached.  "Hello, Sir," he said, holding himself with military bearing. "I'd like to join the Tower Guard."

The man looked him over, and nodded and pulled out a book. "Sign your name here."

Ignis did so, and answered a few questions for the Master at Arms.  Of course he had to tell him where he was from, which he answered reluctantly, earning a look from the officer.

"Alright, Ignis," he said, examining the book. "I'll have you added to the duty roster.  You'll start tomorrow."  Kilrin wrote on a piece of paper.  "There is your barracks assignment.  Don't forget to see the Quartermaster before you start your duty rounds."

Ignis acknowledged the order and went back outside. "That was easy enough," he told Kynwric.

  4. The leader grimaced and faced the newcomer.  Kira looked briefly, seeing a man, Illianer judging from his beard and accent, wielding a cudgel. Rage flared within Kira, but outside she kept calm.

"I said," she repeated. "Let me pass."

The bandit leader to didn't look at her.  He stared at the newcomer. "This doesn't concern you, Illianer.  Leave."

"There are four of us," another said, as he moved forward to grab Kira.

Kira tried to avoid the grab, but something held her back.  Truth be told, it was interest.  She wondered how this man would react.  The Illianer had come this way and inquired as to what was going on.  She was curious on if he would help and move on.  What she didn't expect was how hard the man would grab her.  Pain shot through her wrist.  It would likely bruise.  Kira grimaced as he grabbed her.  She embraced Saidar, but didn't give it form.  Under Rasheta's training, she had learned to control her temper.

The man pulled her by her right wrist and she pulled back, resisting.  As she did, her left hand reached for her knife and she slashed her attacker, catching him on the arm.  He let go and called her inappropriate names. He glared at the blue in rage as he and one of his companions approached her.  She couldn't fight them off - not without the power anyways.  The other joined the leader to protect against the Illianer.

Kira was prepared if the man didn't assist, but she held back.

The Wheel Weaves as the Wheel Wills, she thought. I seek a Warder - is it possible that one has come.

  5. Kira had left Cairhein, on her way back to the White Tower.  She sought a Warder, and her travels would eventually take her to the Borderlands, but stopping by the Tower would allow her to rest in her own quarters as well as give her some time to restock supplies before her journey Sheinar.  The Blue figured she would start in the East and work West.

The Blue had decided to walk a bit.  Her dapple grey mare followed her being led by the bit. It was nice to have the horse, but at times, Kira needed to stretch her legs.  Kira kept her eyes open, but was still surprised when the men came out of the woods by the road.  There were four of them, and their clothing was poor.  Each man had a dagger, which they held bare. Kira almost swore, but kept her cool.

"You're a pretty one," the leader said. "And traveling all alone.

Kira embraced saidar.  The three oaths wouldn't allow her to attack these men.  The weaves just wouldn't form.  At least they wouldn't until she was attacked.  Still she wished for a better way.  The Tower didn't need rumors of Aes Sedai attacking people.

    "Let me pass," Kira said.

"A lone woman with a horse," the leader ignored her. "Dressed like a lady and traveling alone - you can pass.  After you pay...although our price is more than coin."

Kira still kept calm on the outside, but her rage filled her from within.  The man still hadn't attacked, so there was nothing she could do.  She had a knife, but it would do little against the four of them.

    "Let me pass," Kira repeated.

The man laughed.  "I don't think so Lady."

  6. Ignis walked with the Warder, nodding understanding at the use of title.  It was good to know what to call the man.  Ignis looked away as he mentioned Arafel as a slight tension came into his step.  Ignis quickly relaxed.

Burn me, he thought.  He had advertised more than he wished, but he was young and still wasn't sure how to deal with the emotions he dealt with inside.

Ignis recovered quickly, Kynwric's quip about being pretty helped him relax a little more, and he even chuckled at it.  Ignis summoned the flame and the void, trying to use it to empty his emotion.  It was more successful than normal, but the youth still had much on his mind.

"The Tower Guard," Ignis said. "I could do that.  With your permission, Kynwric Gaidin, I would like to speak with the Master at Arms as soon as possible.  That is, if if he available."

  7. The High Lady relaxed.  A strange thing to do given the circumstances. Of course, perhaps she had nothing to do with the killing, but she could also be plotting.  Seeker's often had a healthy amount of paranoia to go about.  It kept themselves safe.

"Water, please," Caidin said with regards to kaf.  He hated the stuff.

Caidin took a glass from the tray and sipped at it, pacing as he formulated some questions to ask.  He was worried about having a damane in the room, but then again, she wouldn't say a word if she was well trained.  If she did, Caidin would have harsh words with the der'sul'dam.  She was responsible for the damane.

"To start, High Lady," Caidin said, turning to face her. "I'd like to hear what happened, in your own words."

  8. Before he could get to far, another approached him, telling the guards that he would take Ignis from here.  Ignis nodded to the man in gratitude, accepting his introduction.  Ignis wasn't sure how to refer to the man, and come to think of it, he was unsure of what sort of rank structure the Warders had.  However, Kynwric had been here longer and had the pull of the guards at least.  That spoke of some type of seniority.  Ignis would treat this man as an officer, if for no other reason than to be polite.

"It's nice to meet you, Sir, and thank you for the welcome," he said, his posture showing military bearing. "I'm Ignis Caleum, and I'm interested in joining the Warders. If they will accept me."

Ignis stood wearing a leather jerkin over his shirt and tan trousers.  A dagger hung at his hips and two swords crossed his back in Arafellin fashion.  Other than the swords, he bore no indication of the life before his self-imposed exile.   He moved to follow the warder and being his new life, resisting the urge to move into Cat Crosses the Courtyard.

  9. Ignis had never seen Tar Valon.  He had also never seen the White Tower.  Ignis wasn't someone who traveled much.  He had survival skills.  Borderlanders were taught those skills.  Seeing the tower for the first time was still breath taking.  His eyes looked around as he walked through the streets of Tar Valon.  The lack of a jingle from the bells that used to adorn his dirty blonde hair was still something Ignis wasn't used to.   The familiar weight was gone, a constant reminder of his past sins.

The Tower itself was grand, and as he arrived at the Tower grounds, he took a moment to admire the building, however, it wasn't long before a guard asked him for his purpose for coming to the White Tower.  "I'm here to train - with the Warders." Ignis told the guard.

The guard gave him directions to the Warder's yard where hopefully he could begin his training.  Perhaps here, he could regain his honor.
