Alanna can you walk me through what you were thinking re: me/Darthe where you felt I was going too far?

My problem with that whole thing is I don't get you jumping to Darthe's defense. It gave me weird flashes of when I see wolves see villagers under attack and go to their "defense" IE the infamous wolves-defend-Sooh of Dragon Reborn or stuff like that which happens constantly

 

Walk me through what you were thinking, what you think I was doing and what Darthe was doing please. I just don't know what's going on with you and if you are a villager I need to figure it out now and not later. Talk to me

Like I get what you are trying to do, and I think it's stupid, but you also are fully aware of the repercussions for doing so and if you are abusing that, it's your right but I'm going to be pissed at you anyway.

From what I saw, you suddenly demanded Darthe to answer your question but he didn't know what you were talking about (nor did I, I went back to look for your question really quick then and didn't see it), and you just came off very rough with him which I thought was unnecessary. You could have just repeated/linked the question if it was that important. So I defended him and said that perhaps he didn't see it; i brought up the other night when I posted a question and it was ignored by you as soon as it was asked to basically say "hey, this question for Darthe wasn't even immediately before you're demanding it from him. I don't see why you expected him to know what you were talking about when you didn't even see the three I posted for you which you ignored 10 minutes later" (not that you ignored them intentionally, you just didn't see them)

 

That's pretty much my thinking, I can pull up quotes tomorrow if you want me to show timestamps and why I thought you were a little too pushy with Darthe. Fwiw, I'm town reading him.

i'm townreading him too, but you understand i have to actually get that out of him. right? biggest sign of darthe being a villager is ALWAYS how he reacts to engagements. wolf Darthe is very quick to play it off and mend fences; villager Darthe remains vigilant even if his views are unreasonable (which they usually are). But if nobody bothers to engage him on it, you wouldn't know.

Darthe pulled back a little earlier than I'd have liked, but it was further than his wolf game will usually allow. And I can imagine him pulling back as a villager for a few different reasons; maybe he's coming to terms with being a slower learning and at least trying out some self-control. would do his game wonders

I generally don't have to rile people up to get a read on them. I'm also a little susceptible to how I perceive the thread tone to be.

I've done nothing to prove myself a villager. I took two days to post in thread bc of personal reasons and then made enemies with everyone in sight because of my attitude.

As a wolf I think I would care a little more how im perceived bc my team is smaller and I'd do my best for them but that's about it.

my value as a villager has little to do with the quality of my reads. it has everything to do with that fact that i'm willing to do the dirty work other villagers won't. 

 

that's what wolves hate about me. maybe my reads aren't great, but i got player x and player y to clear themselves. but doing that is work and sometimes playing a role. sometimes being less than honest, theatrical, dramatic.

 

darthe knows it's nothing personal. he doesn't need to be coddled.

there's a difference between riling someone up and trying to get them on-topic and engaging them. it's a head-to-head so sometimes a punch gets thrown, but a lot of time it can be peacefully resolved quickly.

 

asking someone to answer a question firmly is very different than me saying something unflattering about his mother

Re: prals reads, I didn't read his list. I forgot.

Re: crusher: it felt fake to me bc I didn't see where it was coming from and he was very theatrical about the whole thing, with voting both the Hydra heads and calling you mafia. Feels staged in hindsight. And now he's gone poof!

Re Lenlo: I like him trying to get things started but he hasn't exactly reevaluated that I recall and I feel his pushes have been weak. Pushing the "alanna doesn't like to be Mafia" angle is rough but I'm biased and annoyed on that front. Other than that I don't remember any stances he's taken and feel I gave him too much credit earlier.

darthe i think is a villager. i believe in his engagement with me, will pay more attention to it on reread to check but right now feeling good

 

tiinker no clue. hasn't been at all serious from the getgo but not sure that makes him a wolf. don't know his villager game but his wolf game felt more purposed than this. will need a bit more time to figure out HOW to figure out this slot, but i'm not ruling out he's a wolf just mailing it in hard

alanna would guess villager but could just be getting wires crossed because i have trouble reading her nowadays. will think but right now would definitely guess villager

 

pral not sure. feel like seeing his posts in context with the thread will help me get somewhere with him. i remember liking a few things but i don't remember what they were and if they were something i should seriously take as indicative.

 

crusher is a weird case. i don't really know a great deal about how to read him but hallia and nyn i think are reliable resources and they feel good about him. i think that's worth taking into account.

 

kat had a few posts that made me lean villager but i need to reread them. one thing really confused me but i can't get into it until later in the game.

 

lenlo i thought was kind of wolfy but has said some things that have pushed me back a little. millionth note that i'll probably know a lot more post re-read but you're getting unfiltered me so enjoy the treat

 

GF - not sure if i will ever have a read on him this game

 

NotBob - He had a wolfgame a couple of months (maybe a year? lol) ago where i think i picked up some insight in how he approaches the game as a wolf but i forgot it. will do the research

 

Sooh - Nyn is comfortable with Sooh, I am less so. I am kind of paranoid of Sooh every time she acts paranoid of me for [reasons], but I might just be overthinking this one.

 

Dice I think is a villager but I need him to get his ass in gear before I really commit to that
