This thread is basically divided between good tone and bad tone atm. I get that I'm not fully present but it seems like y'all aren't either, maybe with the exception of Laine sili and clov. Maybe one or two others.

You find the words i can't. I have too many nulls for the moment, and that could well be why...

Calder's the best I've got to go on right now. I wouldn't be shocked if he flipped town, seeing as most of the people whose reads I have faith in (basically you and Lainey) have him as null, but no one seems to have him as a strong town. So that's the best I've got.

 

Did I just quote a post of yours a few back where you said Zev was your best bet?

I don't think so...? I've said that Calder is my best bet and Zev is a no show I wouldn't mind having cleared, but I'm not going to fight about lynching lurkers on D1 because I've done that way too many times on my own site with no real traction. So for now, Calder it is.

tl;dr majority of hallia's posts are AtE. Sometimes she mixes AtE with making reads. Her reads are insubstantive. One read in particular, on celste, is inconsistent with the notion a villager needs to find a villager because they're acting villagery, not because they're debating with someone you think is scummy.

Do you not find that villagers often react that way too? I'm not saying it clears her, just saying I don't think it condemns her.

 

I still want to see more, though...but I'm catching up and I think I did see in the notifications that she has posted, so I'll let you know what I think when I'm caught up.

So, I'm not going to look for quotes for the past 30 pages, but i can give you an impression on what i think might be the alignment of the players present in the game.

 

Clovdyx

would be top mayor. Like his gameplay so far. Puts in work, asks questions, responds too. 

Darthe is ok from what I've seen. Mainly gut feeling here, but I'm gonna go with it. 

Lizabeth seems alright for now. 

alannalynn can help town lots, so no lynching her today. Willing to see how she puts things together from D2 on. 

seph seems motivated town. Seems... dunno... there's a hint of doubt on the back of my mind. 

Hallia not here a lot, but that's ok. She needs her vacation *nods*

Calder is a hard one to crack. I can never get a clear read on that one until after his flip... then i go like "Oooohhh, so that's what it was about." will need some more time here.

 

Zevrynne  who? null... 

Celeste is the oddest  read during the catching up. Didn't get a townie vibe here (yet?), and at this point, doubting she's town. 

 

And then there's these two: Zander & Sili Quirrels. Guys, with the amounts you both are posting, i have a hard time making sense of you. the thing going on between both of you (around page 15 or so) was hella confusing and didn't help me get a read on either of you at all. I'll need more time on both of you. 

 

I have too many nulls to my liking. But, I'm not able to really clear or accuse the majority of players here. I'll need more time, and prolly a couple of rereads, to be able to figure things out. Kinda frustrating

You already know what I think about lynching lurkers, and I think I've made it clear who I'm trusting and not trusting. If the quiet players start posting, I'll evaluate them appropriately. If not...well, things happen.

 

That being said, I think this might be the earliest I've been tinfoiled on by a player that's never seen me place, so that's pretty cool.

Any flavour of town would be nice, actually. I'm not sure I've seen that. I've seen a whole lot of null. Would you be comfortable with that if you were in my shoes and dealing with a player of your reputed calibre?

Admittedly no. But, tbh I don't want you to be comfortable with me. I like the suspicion.

 

Beyond that I just dont play the same way most others do. I am not a guy that throws out 10 reads knowing they are going to be mostly wrong. I tell you who I want lynched that day and I dont back down. How far I push it is dependent on a number of factors (not the least of which being its viability.

But @Zander, if this hasn't already been addressed: if you're so concerned about me not getting what you're saying about the Calder vote, how do you feel about Chris not getting what you're saying either?

I am a bit confused about this back and forth between you and Zander bc Laine said the same thing as Zander basically (she was pretty eloquent). Yet i dont remember you challenging her. To sum it up she basically said I prob just didnt care about a vote on me and didnt mind it. Kinda feels like that is along the same lines as what Zander was seeing as a difference between me and Celeste.

 

 

Zander was there in real time and was all hellbent on jumping down Celeste's throat (and continues to be) while ignoring you even though I asked him about it more than once. Yes, he eventually answered but it seemed to take him a while to even acknowledge the issue.

 

Lainey did a catch up overview and isn't hellbent on jumping down Celeste's throat or yours. She seems to be trying to process both of you rather than condemning one and not the other.

The hardest part about growing up is definitely not having summer break to look forward to. What I wouldnt give to shut it down for 3 months.

Btw, and this is to all of you, where did this idea come from that "you sussed x in y game and they were town so I am questioning if you can read the person now"?

 

Its It's truly awful logic. That assumes that people are constant on both sides and that alignment doesnt affect performance.

Thane, I like your reads list last page. You make some good points as well, you can be in my town pile.

I try to nail some wolves, but I'm having some difficulties this game. But, the track record from the past couple of games was alright, so I am quite confident that I'll find some.

 

I too would vote Zev over Thane.

Voting Zev would have 2 endings:

1) wolf is dead: YAY

2) townie dead with basically no additional info.

 

scenario 2 wouldn't lead to a complete new D1, depending on NA's, but still....

Don't have time to edit the quotes properly, but in response to the first part, I would rephrase it. The two outcomes of lynching Zev today woudl be:

 

1) yay! wolf is dead

or

2) townie is dead, but at least we don't have to worry about an unknown quantity on D2 and we can narrow our POE.

 

Mislynching active town might give us more information, but it also deprives us of an active townie that could be helping us on D2.

 

As for the part about Calder, I have yet to see anyone offer any reason for NOT lynching him. Why keep him if you don't have a better lynch prospect? Or do you have a better lynch prospect?

I think you feel I may be scum, so of course your vote makes sense on me. But, I feel you are trying to back into reasons for the vote without really having them. I mean in truth what would my lynch provide town info wise over even someone like Zev? I am honestly curious.
