And I think my official title is professor?  Not really sure, it's a teaching university that doesn't follow the tenure system. So maybe just lecturer? I tried asking my colleague but he's confused too.

Ha. :)  I have no training whatsoever.It's kind of a funny system in that I have no official teaching training.

 

My students often call me their teacher and I always correct them because I have no right to be called a teacher, teachers are professionals at teaching - I'm just a lady who knows a lot about one topic.

I try to be extra-not-mean!  

Though a lot of my students come to my class hating the subject without giving it a fair chance, it's kind of sad because I truly believe it's a fun and interesting topic that has a lot application to all other areas that my students intend to study in.  </nerdrant>
