The Ancients had come to the field of battle at the request of Cenarius, and of those who had come, the one with the deepest connection to the forest lord had suffered most at his death.  Malorne had been his sire, and struck out in a frenzy at his son's passing.

 

Hundreds, thousands of demons had been slaughtered by the hooves and antlers of the great white stag, dozens more stunned by the brilliant glow emanating from his form and struck down by other allies.  He was a formidable warrior indeed, but the demons had kept coming, their ranks swelling as fast as the ancient guardian dropped them.

 

Finally the demon commander took note of him, and as he approached the massive stag, the demon's size seemed to grow as well, until the two were matched in height and power.

 

The battle between them was fierce and long, with wounds given and suffered on both sides -- but finally, the demon stepped in close and its arm twined around Malorne's neck.  The stag screamed and kicked, twisting and slashing with his hooves, but the demon's grip was too strong.  With one final brutal wrench, the ancient guardian's neck was snapped, and the gleaming white body fell to the battlefield, still and silent at last.

 

 

Celeste - Malorne, vanilla town - has been lynched.

Seriously Celeste, no offense but I have put more time into this game than any I have ever played before. I invested a lot. I wanted to get it right. You basically wasted all of my time by throwing the game, and I don't appreciate it.

I get fixated on these games sometimes. Not often, but here and Matrix and Frozen. It's unhealthy, I lose sleep, I get angry when we make mistakes instead of just having fun.

 

The hammer was the switch. My vested interest is drained.  It's just a game and I'll lolololol about outing Zander D1 afterwards win or lose.
