The part about Celeste assuming things all the time doesn't mean much - I agree with Tress that assuming one way or the other doesn't make a person scum. Wish points out what is going on here, but decides not to engage until there's a flip, and so there's not much info here.

I'm glad to see your list, but I really want to know more about how you came about these theories. Like with Celeste, a lot of what I'm getting from you is picking a person you think is town, and asking them questions. You do it again a little later, here. There's nothing completely wrong about that, especially as I think you're a newer player too, but I want to see some of your thought processes.

What do you like about Sooh and Tress?

I couldn't figure out how to do the formatting for the snipping bit, because of the large amount of quote pyramids. This post is for Taborline.

1. I'm sorry, I love posting fluff. I've toned myself down from my early days at my home-site, in which I would sometimes post gifs for pages and not a single word of content. :'D

2. Don't get me wrong, I am not necessarily anti-anyone. I prod around, asking questions of people who I am interested in, and dredge up content from the ripples my questions cause. If I read you as scum because of how you responded, that's okay. No hard feelings, it's just how I have interpreted your reactions to my questions/other points people have brought up about you/ the potential buddying/distancing I see going on. **The you refers to a general you. Like, you all.

3. I haven't been able to be very involved in the game until like Monday night because of real life issues, and I've been trying to catch up. Does that make me look scummy? Yessss. <3 Have I posted a lot of fluff? Yesss. However, I regret nothing. Deal with it, yoooo.

4. The part about asking Len for reads was actually me questioning Sili's Talya read. I was curious because he tried to poke Celeste and Ocicat for reactions earlier on in the thread, and said that he didn't know what to make of the interaction. Sili is probably very indecisive, but that's probably just how he is. That characteristic of him makes me a little warier of him than someone like, let's say, Lenlo/Cory.

5. Sooh and Tress are very towny for me in mostly tone and attitude. Though both of them haven't posted much that sticks out to me, the sincerity behind their posts and Cory's clearing them makes me a little more confident that they're town. That's a terrible reason, but I just feel that I can trust them. :/ Maybe a natural bias, but I feel like I'm right.

6. This is usually my thought process:

a. Do some terrible guessing (aka soulreads). Proceed on that assumption first.

b. Observe how people interact on the thread. Change reads if necessary.

c. Look back at people's past posts. Change reads if necessary.

d. Post questions that challenge people and make it difficult for them to hide their ulterior motives. If needed, tunnel them and pressure them until they break/get all huffy. Change reads if necessary.

e. Place a few votes to see how people respond. Change reads if necessary.

f. Post a reads list of what you have so far to see how people respond. Change reads if necessary.

@john snow Can the fluff that Sili's doing now really be a good tell for him? I have only seen him as mafia but I wouldn't be so quick to call him scum because of those posts.

Well, I'm here, after being drained from extroverting.

A few observations:

Sili seems to get serious way too quickly. That just happened in the last game we were playing in. And you wanna know why? He was distancing from me, who was joke voting.

Possible correlations between Ocicat mistake/joke vote and Sili calling him out on it? Perhaps.

I, for one, don't know how Ocicat plays. I'll defer to Alette when trying to read him, but I prefer to assign null (leaning towards scummy) for anyone I don't know well. Lurking and not posting doesn't seem indicative of alignment, and neither does not knowing who is even playing. I make that mistake a lot. But default: *narrows eyes* Null-scummy until you prove yourselves unblemished.

Areas of confusion: don't get drunk Cory.

Possibilities: Eldrich possible Loki because of his disappointment at Kivam revealing Loki win con on thread-> argument espoused by a few, like John Snow.

Does JS drop the argument because Eldrich is too experienced to make that kind of slip? Hmm. Why the focus on Loki? I would think that scum would be more concerned about eliminating Loki than town, as someone previously mentioned.

I don't not like pralaya, maybe because he town read me for reasons proximate to my meta, but definitely because he agrees with some of my reads.

I probably won't be the most objective here.

I don't see a reason to vote him over verbal, but if Pralaya is scum then he is likely bussing at least one of mish or talya. I mean, his points are very focused and might be tmi. While I haven't read his full list, of what I've read it sounds okay. Normal Pralaya, you know? He is not defending himself at least.

Eh, what's the case on pralay so far?

I iso'd verbal just now and read more of his...

to reiterate nothing impresses me. He excuses his floating poke because he didn't know you were a hydra, which I don't necessarily believe, and he excuses his content because he hasn't started playing yet which is typical lazy town or mafia. And he does try to get better, but the conversation between him and mish is entirely pointless and awkward in my professional opinion.

All in all, if I had to make a proximate best guess of what the scum team is, I would say: Verbal, Pralaya, Mish, and Talya.

Dice has sort of a reputation now of being a ~clearable villager if he posts aggressively / pushes someone etc. early because he used to basically just float around as a wolf and people rarely called him out on it.

However he's started to get lynched as a wolf early for that behavior and he's aware of his own tells so I've seen him start faking it more and I think most of the people who play with him are a step behind on the inevitable meta shift.

Not that he's a lock wolf, but I certainly don't have him as a clear villager like some do. I still think he can self-clear though, but he needs to actually dig in for real.
