I fell asleep 20(ish) pages into rereading Day 2 having triple checked the OP a number of times for various things.

 

To be honest whatever I do I'm going to feel incredibly stupid if I choose wrong /shrug

 

I'm not sire I 100% believe Sili's claim, however he's being pushed by people that I don't trust (and one and a half that I do)

 

The role Clov was holding back was a 1x bulletproof which we lost on Night 2. Now given the only killing roles from the OP are the mafia Nightkill and Mrs Clov, the only other role that could strip us of that is the Evil Priest. Clov came to that conclusion straight away from what I can tell, I was a little less trusting and asked more questions.

 

So here's the thing - we KNOW that there was a motivator in play at the start of the game. These are town roles so far; lovers (passive), gifter (from what I understand the role was 1 shot), bulletproof (1 shot), vig (1 shot), claimed lover (passive), Sili's sorcerer/healer thing. Sili's role is the only one that a motivator makes sense on (I asked Alanna what would happen if the motivator went to a 1 shot that had been used and she confirmed that nothing would happen). The chances of the motivator finding town Night 1 before a 1-shot was used seems slim. I'm now curious as to whether Excalibur was itself a motivator, or whether it was a role, given that it seems that Excalibur was destined for Arthur. If it's a role then that seems to make it FAR more likely that Sili is telling the truth since we don't have any other claimed abilities a motivator would make sense on. If it was the ability itself I guess it would have given us 2x bulletproof if it reached us first, so not really sure how that would work.

 

At the moment I trust Mrs Clov the most, partly mechanics, mostly Clov's read, but until all this started Sili was my strongest independent read and a strong town read of Clov's as well, unfortunately I have no idea how he'd react to this. *I* certainly don't want to lynch him before I've had chance to read the game and rereading in full is likely to take a couple of days.

If i'd had been dealt a PR, i'd want to know what it exactly would mean. Now, to me, it seems like you're grasping, reaching, and trying to hold on. Mistakes like this could have easily been avoided.

What I currently understand is that a day ago Yates you werent remotely interested in this game and didnt have time for it and now, at lylo, there is a push from you against a person Ive been town-reading. I dont see many flaws in his game despite an unorthadox and frankly suspect claim. If I had to weigh it Id say its perhaps 10% likely to be true but I wont be whipped into a vote I dont fully support when there are more sensible alternatives, especially not by a scum read against a player that would have almost certainly lived had they not knowingly taken the risk of revealing information they thought was pertinent.

 

At the end of the day this whole thing simply doesnt make good sense any way you look at it.

Why did you ask Mrs Clov if she was a vig or had a present? First you'd already called her a vig (according to one of Clov's posts from the start of Day 3), second if she'd has a present presumably she couldn't have used it to Night 2 anyway? Why did it feel like role fishing?

Thane? What about him pushing the dice lynch? Why would scum want to give the town an extra opportunity to lynch someone else? Its at least clear why dice is on his wagon and the reason isnt that dice is scum hunting. He has a wincon to fulfill.
