??? i have played mafia for few years before but only few time online.... so i am used to the term townie/villager/mafia/romeo/Juliet.... not so much with survivor

Keep coming with posts like that and you'll tip over in the minus pile, just FIY. I know it's your first time and I don't know how much your mentor is around, but you should be less concerned with how others perceive you and more concerned with how you percieve others. Don't be afraid to contribute, even though you're unfamiliar with the players and forum mafia. Dive right and we'll all have a much nicer time :)

You've got me in that I've never played forum mafia, but I can't agree with you about other's perception. It's pretty much everything.  I may not have shared my perceptions on others yet, but trust me, I've got them.  With no impending lynch or deadline, I see no reason to divulge what I'm thinking yet.  

 

 

Right now it is way more important for you to share your own thoughts about people, so that the town can clear you as town. Town need to work together; be as open and clear as possible to let other townies read them correctly, the more solid town can trust each other the easier it is to find the mafia. So there's a very big reason for why you should divulge what you're thinking IMO. That's how others are able to read you.

 

Everyone is going to try to come across as town… isn't this is a given?  If getting cleared as town was as easy as posting your thoughts, everyone would get cleared all quick like since they're all trying to come across as town.  Not following the logic here...

 

I have my suspicions and will share them when needed, but right now they're not needed.  It's early.

We always called them wolves and villagers on IRC, so I might make that mistake sometimes.

i kind of agree with mish on this one.... giving opinion does not mean the purpose is acting super townish... but for us to know where you allegiance lie.... even tough its day one.... we are past the point were we do not have enough to go on for commenting.

Highly doubt it… I used to play on IRC which was based off forums for CyberNations.  It's been a few years since I was regularly involved with that game.

As far as my sili vote it was mostly that I wanted to get in and rustle as many people as possible to try and read them. Didn't have a particular lean on him one way or the other so I just voted him to see what he said when he hopped into the thread and had three votes on him.

 

His reaction seemed downplayed, and I'm boy quite sure how to assess it right now. I think as a villager he's more likely to say that I am misreading him but the only problem I have with it is that he said it in such a way that seemed to imply he already knew I was a villager.

 

Like just matter if factly "I think this is the first time monstr misread me" and not "monstr has never misread me as a villager "

 

At first glance these appear to say the same thing but when you look closer the first one clearly implies "monstrman is a villaget, he is misreading me." Whereas the second one seems to say more of "I don't know if monstrman is a villager or not, but if he is he's misreading me."

 

I'm going to hold my vote on sili for the time being and ask him a question:

now for personal commentary..... since i have not played with most of you my take on things is slightly different then the general consensus in the game so far. 

 

CoryMish (mostly cory) has spent time in claiming/declaring almost 1/3 of the players as villagers (tina, monstr, dice, pral, and a repetition of these claims again and again). and has only gone after Tommy as mafia. This may come from the fact that he has played with these players extensively and knows how they play to make what i consider strong claims especially when he is talking about his town reads.

Cory's specialty is identifying townies. He is very good at it.

well your vote and claim against sleeper was out of the blue... something that your role should not know unless you have power of inspection during day... very unlikely
