maybe i'm sensitive to being lynched for bad reasons, because of what happened in the marlfox game, and aj is intentionally fishing for that sort of reaction.

I don't see me lynching you right now, so this is a really weird question. 

 

It was a joke. I can't tell how close I am to being lynched because I'm a little paranoid.

 

His case on you wasn't super strong, about as strong as any day 1 case, but it wasn't horrible either. I'm finding your rather out of proportion response to be much more telling.

 

I don't think it was really a scum tell. I haven't gone through one game where someone hasn't voted somebody in the first few hours of gameplay. Sure, if they keep it there and don't try at all to scum hunt, there's certainly a case for lynching them, but the game has just started.

Ok, but this is mafia.  Inside jokes are not sacred.  Neither are warder bonds.

Why are we even still talking about this? It went beyond "inside joke" in the last game and became borderline cheating. Period. That's it. Yeah, I wish I knew this game was starting sooner. If I had known, I would have said something in the signup thread rather than wait for the current game to finish. But we typically did this in our first couple of posts in the previous games so I felt like putting the kaibosh on it. Otherwise I would have had weigh subbing out.

 

If ANYONE should find me scummy for pointing it out, it's Dice and AJ. This doesn't concern you. And since the meat of this argument is from an ongoing game I'm done talking about it and you just have to wait for the game to finish - as I told Verb - if you feel like you need me to be more specific.

 

Frankly, harping on an outside the thread "tell" that you have no part of looks like scum trying to push an angle you don't even fully understand because you know I can't be specific yet.

 

 

We're talking about it because you brought it up, didn't adequately explain it, and then told people to leave it alone.  Are you seriously questioning why I might not want to pursue that for a bit?

Btw, for future reference, that's usually not a good thing to say.  Sorta defeats the purpose of a pressure vote as town and as scum it can be used to hedge.  You've now made two votes that you seem unwilling to push to lynch.  That doesn't look good.  Also, you need to get better at reading me :)

The experience explains it.  After a few dozen games you get used to presenting yourself, to speaking in a way that is both natural and to the point.  You stop consciously having to give intentional direction to your thoughts and specifically keep up with a check-list of things you want to present, or at least you should.  You don't seem to have that quite down yet and it was throwing me off.  Most people don't get down to that level unless they feel immense pressure to explain their every move, but newer people sometimes do.

People keep saying this and it's odd to say.  We are 12 hours and 20 pages into a game.  IMO a bad read isn't a big deal yet.
