Because I know him really well online and in person and there is a way he posts as town. His whole getting involved with the game right away is a townie move from him. Not just sitting back or flooding the thread with Spidey memes. Also, he has a way of trying to distract me as scum, although I think it's more on a subconscious level because I don't think he realizes that he does it. We've also been misrepped a few times about how we are interacting with each other. Nothing seems forced and I typically can read through his bs.

I figured it was more likely a wolfbro would get in contact with him to the point where he wouldn't miss like ~3 days because of a lack of Role PM (IE, if he was checking the boards and never saw the PM pop up somebody would send him a message and he'd find out from there)

 

But I forget that not many players know Rags here and it might have legit slipped through the cracks

I'm going to pretend Verbal has town cred for coming out strong and "scumhunting" but I'm really suspicious of him jumping on something small so soon.

 

Also this. While Verb's push is genuine, it's seems just a little too strong for the evidence at hand. But I'm leaning toward that being excited by a potential scumread.

 

@Sili and @Tommy are null at the moment but being involved, which is a plus. Is Tommy normally this ...this?

@Cory - Heavy defense noted. But I always have trouble reading through emotion and tend to write it off as scum. But hydra halli makes me wonder especially given-

That's certainly one way to play the game where talking to people is kind of the point.

 

If he is your scumread, then you would want him to keep talking day 1 surely, in case something slips? either way, you've ruled out the possibility of him being town by refusing to engage, limiting your effectiveness for town.

Do you think that the major contributors in this game so far (Tom, Yates, Cory, Sili, etc.) are all town and scum is sitting back and watching?  Or do you think there is 1 scum right in front while the rest sit back?

 

For me, I'm going with the latter.  I think 1 is scum and the others town, while the rest of the scum team sits back in the middle/bottom of the pack.

If he's actually 3rd party, then it explains why I didn't think he was scum.  But it would mean I incorrectly interpreted that as town and made him blue.  My mistake for not accounting for 3rd parties.  I was in the 'ok he's not scum, therefore conftown' mindset, which appears to have been a mistake.

 

I'm just glad that is more clear on D1 - no harm no foul.
