Yates, your obsession with me being a wolf is becoming... somewhat unbelievable.

Do you not at all care that I've claimed a role that all but guarantees I will die very soon?

Let me ask you something Monster touched upon recently; what are the chances Tommy is pocketing you?

Pocketing is not good terminology. Me and Tommy have a history of being strong villagers together and us ~working together is pretty typical. Tommy's made an effort to read me and explain WHY he thinks I'm a villager and it all made sense to me. He's done nothing wolfy and really the only peg on him is that, yes, he is a very good wolf, but that's zero reason to try and shove someone in the corner. This is probably about as villagery as you can have him, and he's typically an excellent villager - why would you ignore someone with his skillset?

Except for when I give you permission to murder me irl, Cory

;)

I could cash that in at any time.

;)

Thane is more suspicious if I'm right about Tomlion.

I promise I am a villager. And a beloved one at that.

Okay but if you are village I hope you'll explain this move of bread crumbing a role claim, after the game in a way that makes sense to me.

I understand if you can't do it ITT

Not to mention, if Tom and I were wolfing together and we used the same hard defending each other strategy as they did last game, I'm fairly certain that a similar situation would arise where Tom would threaten to lynch anyone that suspected me and get directly in their face because he wouldn't want to miss out on his chance for a sweep.

It's on that same token that I believe he's not a wolf, in fact, because wolf Tom LOVES to go for a house of cards mafia sweep.

So, serious question. How does being a scum work? You get a wolfpack chat, clearly, but how do you go about securing kills?

You discuss is each night in the chat. On DM, one player makes the actual kill attempt. They submit a message like

*** Official Night Action

Kill Sili

***

and the mod accepts it.

The other scum submit their PR targets in the same manner.

I care. Leelou unvoted you. I share Des's concern on the claim, though. Do you disagree that the claim as well as the circumstances surrounding it are questionable? Also, what activates your Princess power?

well to me at least, it seems like this role claim could be a move towards a house of cards mafia sweep. but then i don't understand very much about the mechanics of being scum.

Any form of death.

I decided there's no way to play it off unless I act scummy on purpose -- but there was the chance that people continued to suspect me and I got lynched out of fear at EOD.

At the very least, scum now has to consider whether it's worth me being watched or doctor protected before shooting me for the bonus.

Though I've explained this already.

True story, but you'll never catch me wolves. I'm sleeker than oil, faster than shadows

Wait. Are you saying you started the day playing scummy on purpose?

Because a specific scum member submits the kill each night, that kill can be tracked, watched, blocked, etc.

This feature is generally absent on POG, where the wolves have a hidden "factional kill".

What were you saying then? I must not be understanding you.

That the only way I can even think of to play that role properly is to be scummy on purpose and tread the line between NK and lynch, but that won't work in this game because Tom paranoia stock is at an all time high and I already became a consensus suspect for reasons I still don't understand.

So I claimed.

Okay. Gotcha.

So my final concern is this; typically a Beloved Princess power is only activated if the slot is mislynched. You are claiming ANY kill will activate your power?

If this were the case, which of the active townies would Tom be scumbros with? If he were scumbros with people that aren't ~strong wolves I'd suspect he'd bus the crap out of them or else he'd risk losing the game in a village sweep imo.

I could see that being the case with is Des, but it makes no sense for Tom to be going for a house of cards sweep defending Des while Des goes for a "I'm gonna ignore the sweep and bus the crap out of Tom" approach, and therefore it makes negative sense for the two of them to be wolves together.

The other options: Me. Again, he hasn't exactly been forcing his hand on threat of lynching people as I've been gathering suspicion, merely posing his opinion that I am a villager and telling people I'm a blueread. He generally gets more aggressive from what I've seen when people target him or his scumbros when he's a wolf

Cory: Along the same lines as myself, and I already believe Corlia to be pretty much clear at this point in time.

I don't see ANY wolf bussing Tom straight out of the gate, especially considering how strong of a wolf Tom is, so I think that eliminates Verbal.

Thane? Thane is probably already out of his wolf meta, as Cory and I both agree and have explained

That would leave Tom with inactives. I guess it could make sense if this were the case, given that I don't exactly sense a wolfy pull on the thread. My guess at the scumteam is at best ~one or two semi-active scum and the rest lurkers. However I would still put several players up to the chopping block before Tom either way.

Yes. That's part of why I decided to claim and provide WIFOM for scum to worry about since I draw the NK on N1 or N2 very frequently and if I can make going for that reward a tougher decision for the wolves, I should.

I'm double juicy. A big fat tomburger for wolves to take a bite out of.
