I also don't buy the reads you just put out- in general they look like qeajsauce to me, poorly justified, and you overrely on POE even tho you haven't given out strong town reads on that many people.

Reads through our lists again. Most of our lists are town, so what are you talking about? You were JUST complaining that I didn't have anyone in the red.

You ALSO had only ONE blue. Almost everyone is in some kind of "nullish" type category.

So no, I don't believe POE has lead you to any of your scum "reads". And they really were weak as hell besides the fact.

I meant, why would I think manbat had a PR, if I had you and Arsis choose from already and he hadn't hinted anything of the sort?

Because I would get satisfaction from blocking you. And I don't believe Tommy's claim, period.

Twisting. No. I'm not scum, des. Fix your solve, because you're going to need to once I flip anyway.

I really don't like this post though.

It sounds guilty as hell.

What is 'guilty' about it?

Each of the colored sentences comes from a "wolf trying to prove they're not a wolf" mindset instead of a "villager who would never even consider why they're not a wolf" mindset.

I believe it looks like that to you, but it is not the case.

Out of curiosity, did you leave any subtle hints about your role earlier in the game?

No.

Rags was indolent last game as well. Almost got lynched for it too.

Yates could easily be scum. But Hydras are op which makes it a difficult slot to judge.

Dice I want to be scum.

What about me has been lazy this game?

So you're saying you were just counting on me not being targeted because I was an obvious protection target?

Do you usually doc like that?

I would think I would be a perfect candidate for a town JK last night. Worst case is you stop me from using an action as scum.

This. JKing Tommy as the town JK in this situation is basically the ONLY move that makes sense. Normally a JK may not want to JK town PR claims since it may keep them from using an ability, but Tommy was claiming a role that had no positive utility, only negative utility if he died. So there is zero reason to not JK him in that scenario.

And if you doubt the claim whatsoever (since it IS a common scum fake claim) you could still block him from doing any negative actions against town.

Like I said, the ONLY move that makes sense for town JK. BFG and Key are both def smart enough to see that. Not buying their claim.

Stop repeating yourself. I already responded/answered all of this.

Not in a satisfactory manner you didn't.

Anyways, I might be back a little later, or might be done for the night. Off work tonight.

One blue and a lot of greens, des. I'll go pull them for you.

You haven't been as lazy. And I would say indolent; I don't recall you making or breaking wagons or pushing tough leads.

Who do you think the scum team is?

From whatbi remember you had one blue, two greens, and a bunch of yellows and oranges and no reds.

THAT IS NOT A VERY STRONG POE. And BFG's was about the same

So nope, POE is just not going to cut it for me, I think that was a cop out reasoning on your part.

I gotta think about it.

Anyone else have an opinion?

Null. I think Key/bfg have expressed this kind of obstinate view point throughout the game. It's not surprising they think you aren't the beloved princess.

Also weird there isn't much feedback for pushing them from the wolfpack.

@ des -

This is where we currently are, having mulled some stuff over. We've both sort of skimmed the stuff since the EOD1 and I desperately need to reread.

Blue (confident in these):

Manbat - Reads as Town

Arsis - still in Town meta, claimed Watcher, should be obvious

Des - almost want tomput him as red for lols, but we're both happy he's town.

Tommy - after discussion decided that we're being to cautious. Still some things I'm looking for.

Green:

Dice - I feel his 'tone' is closer to his town game, but I can't follow his logic for either of his votes.

Light green:

Yates/Leelou - mostly an early game feel, but can't remember what it was specifically right now, Key's concerned that Yates should be reading her better, AJ as well but he's survivor so doesn't care.

Cory/Hallia - Hallia seems good, but I can't get over how bad Cory's meta of me is, plus pissed off over his using my RL to say I'm avoiding the thread. Should probably be higher. A Cory ISO, first four pages read well, then his bad meta on me, plus his shoot 5 low posters seems lazy and contradicts what he was saying earlier about some players struggling to keep up. Something I picked up in ISO is that Cory didn't enter the thread with his usual bravado, wvn compared to Discworld.

Berf - Key has him as looking townish, her exact response towards EOD1 was 'I feel all kinds of messed up because Berf now sounds townie'. I'm a little concerned by how he agrees that Verb has his old DM mafia style spot on, but later says he doesn't see much of a difference, and also the phrase Tommy being Tommy sort of pings

Yellow: mostly a POE

Rags - don't know his game at all, so don't know how he plays, no real bad vibes, top of the yellows for now.

Sili - some stuff bothered me early game, I'll try and find it, but I got the impression in a few places that he's taking what Tommy says about LOLDMTOWN to heart and was trolling for a bit, until EOD. Manbat reading him blue makes me hesitate some, Key's also reading him a little higher than I am.

Verb POE for me, Key's reading him townish, in part due to strong opening. We're both considering Leelou's opinion here

Alanna POE for me, Key also remembers Alanna as being cautious as mafia

Pral - don't understand how he can have AJ as 'null' after AJ claimed Survivor, reads like he's not paying attention to the thread which is unlike Pral, but also would have been mentioned in a mafia QT so???

Still not really reading anyone scummy, so nobody is an orange per say.

Purple:

AJ

Who did you jail last night and why?

Manbat, due to the protection side of our role, because he was the only blueread that BFG and I had, he was being townread by many people in the thread and we felt that on the chance you were town, there was a lot of WIFOM surrounding you in regards to protection.

This actually makes a lot of sense.

I quoted our last list for you above.

Okay, well, then thinking about it from the angle I'm scum, I would know that EVERYONE would come after me for having weak reads, so why would I put them out there like that? So I could do what, draw more attention to myself and make you doubt me further? Come on.

Key, what was wrong with "Cory's meta of you"?

That is BFG's post. It was Cory's meta of her. She explained it awhile back, I'll see if I can find it.

Oh come on Key. This is complete wifom and a terrible argument to make in your defense and you know it.

"I wouldn't do this as scum!" Is one if the weakest and most often used scum defenses.

I mean I'm town and Berf are town, and even we haven't fought BfgKey's wagon much.

I dunno. Figured there would be more underhanded push-back from the scum team. Something more obvious than a wagon on me.

Cory and I have been town town once as lovers, characters making alignment more or less confirmed, and he was SK in a game I was town. His townie meta for me, is just weird! In one game I joked and rhymed during the first few hours of d1 as my character was a really bad poet in a theme that I geek out about. I tend to avoid fluff unless I'm around early D1. Other than that he's also saying that I'm avoiding the game because I dislike being mafia, see above.

The 'see above' part is in reference to her being annoyed that she mentioned in sign up and a few times in game that she was going to be busy at the beginning of the game and yet her absence was being used as evidence that she was scummy.

Unless you consider not playing early on cause I didn't get a role PM lazy...and I've been making my pushes so I guess you just aren't reading my posts.  That said, I am not normally the type of player who makes massive WoT cases.

Verb and you are my top two guesses for scum team.  Wavering a bit on key as the reasoning seems to make sense, berf is another option.

?

A wolfpack sticks together. If key is wolf, her wolfpack isn't with her.

My radar isn't picking up on any unusual activity. If they were wolfpack I expect my wagon to grow temporarily, and a couple people like verbal or coria would target those who'd targeted key to ruin their credibility.

Bold - um, no. It is at least 50/50 and I've actually seen it used more often by frustrated town than by scum.

You were the one claiming that I'm a, was it shrewd?, player. Does that sound like something a shrewd player would do?
