I'll go back and look over the whole sequence again because I'm not sure if I'm remembering everything correctly and see if that changes my mind on it, but I did have Alanna pretty solidly as one of my green reads from her D1 play so I think that's definitely affecting my perception here.

And yeah - I've seen you pull trap plays and the like before which I think heavily puts you into your villager range but speaking objectively I don't think they're as effective as you may think they are.

Question for the village: why is despot laying traps only village of him. That sounds like a really REALLY bad power to give him.

I'm trying not to be so skeptical of him and his ways. Let's see if they work.

If you actually go back and look, a lot of traps I lay actually ARE very effective, just people sometimes ignore them or poo poo them like you're doing

Just look at last game for chrissakes- I was acting like I was suspecting you, and two people "fell" for my trap- Nyn and Leelou. I successfully whittled it down from there and said Leelou was scum for her reaction to it, and lo and behold she WAS scum.

So that you and the rest of your scum team can cry about me being LAWK CLAIRE

Arsis

Alignment: Undetermined/Town

Argument: Mostly postulation. I believe if he weren't the watcher and felt like he'd gotten away with the fake role claim, his tone would change at some point afterward; he would either up the ante or change gears, but I noticed neither at a glance.

My secret opinion:

Ways to mislynch 101 - following the blind

I guess the upside is if he's wrong he's more easily lynched d3.

Yet another example of Sili's over the top wolfiness

@Aj, or arsis is lying. You can think that way too.

Yeah that's obviously a possibility too considering there was no NK and if both actions had been focused on Tom he would've seen both parties. I'm not sure I see Arsis claiming during Night for basically no reason as a wolf though

wifom at the very least. emotional feedback, like anticipation and excitement too - fulfillment when things went swell. If someone counterclaimed all he would need to say was he was lying like when he claimed beloved princess.

I don't see a good reason why he wouldn't claim watcher as mafia.

Shush. I believe you're scum, which is all the excuse i need.

In dyel yates fakeclaimed healer and we had rolecopped him and I fell for it and went after him. Good thing no one actually picked up on it.

Who are your top 3 lynches for the day?

I looked at your catch-up and thought it was + that you're trying to get in the head of the other players

But what I guess I didn't see to well is who you would prefer to lynch

Top three lynches:

Berf, Tommy, for reasons already said. Distant third, would be Rags. I found his catch up less than desired and voting AJ seems an easy out to me, since AJ has claimed third party.

If you want me to disinclude Tommy, I would hesitantly put Alanna in because so far I haven't seen anything of hers that couldn't come from scum and in my experience she plays reasonable scum well.

I would NOT lynch Des, Yates/Leelou, or Monstr.

That's a pretty strong statement. Haven't seen anything that pointed to her being town?

Sounds like busing to me.

From your Key ISO, Des:

Italics: Bleurgh. Turrible reasoning for making Sili seem town here. Tying Tommy to Thane and saying Thane would look suspect with a scum!flip on Tommy is ridiculous considering Tommy started the CFD on Thane. And then townie points for bringing up the 48 hours gifts? Puhlease.

I could see this being a bus or a stupid reason to clear a townie. It's not strictly busing.

A surprising number of Key's posts are generically wolfy. So much that I don't think I can ignore how strong it feels upon re-read. We should lynch her first for being the scummiest player.

I still want to revert back to her D1 tone when she was being questioned by Cory and the way she responded.

I've also found a few of her votes to be suspect. I would much rather go that route over Alanna for today, or at least until I can actually sit down and really look over the start of D2 again.

Well, a Key scumflip only strengthens my case on Scum!Alanna, so I won't really hate y'all if y'all decide to lynch Key first.

And I agree, her iso is extremely wolfy throughout. I think Alanna being more active has let her look more townie at times tho

Should be noted that this is to the village, to illustrate what is wrong with his argument.

Alanna automatically believing Tommys claim or assuming it to be true doesn't jive AT ALL with her progression however- as I showed in my iso, she was null/hedging on Tommy for a long time, then after his Beloved Princess claim said that she thought I might be right and that the claim might be fake

So that's where she was, and yet the next time it comes around and I claim to have shot him, why would she then assume he was telling the truth the whole time, and start speculating about the extremely unlikely possibility of a town RBer RBing me?

Makes zero sense from a town POV

Red. It wasn't automatic. She hedged like usual. And considering she made a color-coded post that detailed tom as null/scum at eod, it doesn't matter as much. It's easy to get caught up in the moment and miss a read or step in logic.

Green. The post he refers to, Alanna hedges in. She says Tom might have fake-claimed, but Arsis' fake claim had made it more likely Tom was telling the truth.

For the record:

Alanna, on 28 Oct 2014 - 8:08 PM, said:

Sili, I vote you stay. I like you.

Can I just say, I really don't get why Despo gets such strong reactions against him. He's playing the game. And it is a game. Like, calm down, guys. Why does everyone get so upset and quit so easily these days? It's mafia. It's a game. Play and have fun.

Anyway. I don't think Despo is totally off the rails and his theory about Tommy fakeclaiming could be possible, but Arsis' counter claim actually makes me more inclined to believe Tommy. And while at this point I would not be opposed to lynching Arsis simply because what the hell, dude, I think we should look at other people and hear from others before moving forward. Tbh, I think it was a good idea to put some pressure on Tommy for a while, but I don't think we should tunnel solely on him Day 1 either. For now, I'm willing to let the claim sit.

Blue. It presumes she hadn't reconsidered since the end of day 1. It also takes out of context the thread. The trend was to believe Tomcat's role claim because it was otherwise inconvenient. And opinions were in flux and offered in hypotheticals, for obvious reasons.

Most of all, Alanna never really disagreed with the role claim and her opinion eod1 and d2 aren't too dissimilar.

1. Incidentally, without knowing what you're talking about there are 2 things that concern me. First you say something she does MORE as mafia, not ONLY as mafia, so you're giving yourself an out for after our flip. Second if you're using this as a way to resolve our slot, then I suggest you hash it out now as bringing it up later when you know in advance that she's going to start posting less is weird.

...

2. Why are you defending Pral when this was your opinion yesterday (talking about the same post)? At the least why aren't you waiting to question us, until Pral has responded since you want to resolve us both?

1. And I'm not pushing a case on you guys because I concede it is something she does do as Town, it's just something she does FAR FAR FAR less as Town. It's not something I can "hash out" as it's something she does that has to happen organically or NOT happen organically. I don't know what else to tell you.

2. I'm not defending Pral. I'm questioning your angle on voting Pral. These are two completely different and unrelated things. I know why I didn't like his post and I stated it in thread - his reads came with no info and I hate that. You guys are actually voting for him right now for doing something you are currently doing yourselves as if it's a scum tell. So you see why I would challenge you on something that comes across to me as insincere and hypocritical? I mean, you are trying to say that defining AJ as "purple" is such a HUGE difference from Pral putting AJ in the middle of his list as null. I'm telling you straight up that it's like six of one and half dozen of the other.
