Well I thought about it and in the end I assumed the more subtle variations of wifom would be a low risk, low reward deal. If I've seen something like that though, I've never associated it with wifom.

Well I thought about it and in the end I assumed the more subtle variations of wifom would be a low risk, low reward deal. It was a hypothetical, though. If I've seen something like that, I've never associated it with wifom.

Clarified, and I'll add that many statements can be overcomplicated and turned into wifom, if for no other reason than to create a puzzle.

Remember, the best thing that scum can do is create chaos among the town.  Bottom line.  Chaos is always the best of friends with scum.  So anything that is an ends to that mean is something to keep an eye on.

One of my favorite things to do as scum is nudge townies into a state of chaos.  It's subtle yet very effective.

I think it was @Yates that questioned my earlier reads, saying something about them being outdated and thinking from old perspectives.

Nope. I don't know you, man. Think it was Verb, iirc.

However, statements like this:

I have no idea what a Full Darthe entails.

And this:

I'm not sure when it became ok to fully cloud any potential vig shot by openly discussing targets and moreso trying to lead it.

And this:

And since when was night so chatty?

Suggests this statement is less true than you may be aware:

But having said that, DM mafia hasn't changed that much.

For example, I'm actually more suspicious of the people afraid to talk at night, now. Looks like they are trying to hide something sinister.

I never got how some players who are scum can be afraid to talk at night.  That's the easiest time to be scum.

You would think and yet? Look at any of the last 12 games on this site where at least 2 scum were alive.

Both Yates and Rags are right in a way.

Yeah, people who duck night chat earn scum cred.

But I find it easy to talk at night as scum because you're much less likely to fall and trip on your face when something unexpected happens, barring maybe vig shots. So it allows for a more clean narrative.

But in general, people who post a lot at night are >rand villagers because they have nothing to hide and want to get their thoughts out there.

I see this constantly.

Oh, I'm not disagreeing with him, just...amused at the truth of his statement.

And I agree with your reasoning, you can get some excellent tone clearing done at night.  In either alignment.

Wtf... I have to deadlift 340 12 reps 3 sets. This isn't funny. I'm going to be walking like Walt Jr. for two days.

So glad I gave up heavy leg workouts years ago.

I could squat just over 550 my junior year of college and since then, it's all nice, light toning exercises.  No need for the heavy stuff.

Apologies for being out yesterday. Had a busy work schedule and then had some discomfort and had to go to the doctor, so there was a flurry of activity going on around here because we thought it might be the main event. However, I am still here. Hoping I can at least get through the weekend so then BFG can have time to take over when I'm out :).

I'm still going through my reread, albeit EOD has changed my opinion on a few people. I probably should just start from the beginning again, but that will have to happen after I complete the first readthrough. I think Berf looks town simply for the way that he came into the game - as scum, I don't think I would have had the guts or where-with-all to come into the game with 45 minutes to DL and me being the top lynch to try and turn things around. Not that he's not a great player, but I don't see it happening like that.

Tommy still makes me feel iffy, but less so than before. I think he's capable of a CFD like that at EOD, but the way he did it felt genuine and unless Berf and Sili are both teammates, I don't see a reason for him to move it like that when there was a risk of not getting enough votes and then him being looked at again, with more scrutiny on D2.

I still like dice's activity and outside of the box thinking, but I don't get the logic behind many of his posts, so that's sending up a flag to me. Will be paying attention to how he builds his reads upon my reread.

Get a strong feeling Key will just start posting tomorrow without ever having finished her catchup or w/e, and hope no one calls her out on it.

Html what else... Let's see Manbat said I fos'd him for his fuzzy math but that is completely inaccurate. His math WAS fuzzy, he said the benchmark for town rand % was like 60% or something even tho in almost any standard game it's 75%. That wasn't me fosing him, that was me Jackie channing at his fuzzy Dubya math. Didn't see BFG say the same thing /shrug

Des, I have been green reading you because you don't seem to have the same over the top attitude that you normally does as scum, but in what world is this a good post for a townie to make? This gives no indication how you feel about my alignment, no comments on my actual reads. If you think I am town, why would you want to discourage someone posting their reads by doubting them from the getgo? And if you think I'm scum where is the sense in saying this ahead of time and giving me the chance to prove you wrong? Would be better served waiting to see if that's what I did and then using that against me.   I'm going to be looking at your level of #werk during my reread, because I can remember you scolding me in several games where I was scum, for not putting in enough effort.

Dude, 550 squat is super impressive. I'm trying my best to hit 500 squat. Maybe this time next year.

After a decade+ of football/rugby and a decade+ of wrestling, my knees just don't need to take that kind of wear and tear anymore.

Yeah, dude no one is going to judge you on that. Do you. I'm still super impressed. You're more manly than I am.

Bizarro response to my nudge and Freudian slip possibly. She's trying to tell me how I could have more effectively caught her as scum lol

Not saying this to be rude btw, but pointless discussion this is. Like just about anything, this isn't a universally reliable tell. Some scummers lurk and observe during night phase, looking for PR slips and knowing they'll be around next phase likely so don't waste time trying to look townie that phase. Some scummmers look at night phase as the perfect time to sow wifom or set themselves up as leader.

The fact that this discussion isn't really aimed at anyone in particular makes it moar useless.

Posted

Not to pummel a dead horse into a gross pulpy stew, but Tommy choosing to comment on pointless discussions instead of more useful #solving discussions in light of the fact that his claim makes him EXTREMELY likely to die soon, either by my hand or someone else's, all tells me he doesn't really care about helping town win this game and makes me feel even better bout my shot

Posted

Like, if I felt forced to claim BP D1 for some strange reason, I wouldn't spend my time whining and talking about useless stuff like Tommy is, I'd be putting that much more effort into getting out good reads while I'm still alive

Yup, Tommy's scum

Posted

You're lying to fit a narrative.

I've arguably done more to help this town win than anyone else in the game.

When you start participating regularly and actually try to clear villagers and POE the game down instead of calling villagers scum because they don't agree with you, you can talk. Until then -- zip it.

Could go all the way back around and lynch Verb...

No. Key or Berf.
Key? Did you read her last huge post?

For some reason can't sleep so going back through old stuff...

I don't get this at all. Multiple times recently Tommy has fos's people for basically doing exactly what Key did- list a long wot of catchup notes and whatnot, saying stuff like that is easy to fake as scum.

Yet multiple times THIS game he pretty much hard defended Key for the exact same thing, asking people if they read that post.

Tommy/Key scumbro pairing looking a lot more likely in my eyes
