He's one of the players I had in mind when I wrote that rant to Hallia about players who post ~5 times per day and make me guess their alignment, but I think I can read him ~okay after not trusting my gut reads on him in the past few games and getting it wrong. My gut knows.

Yet he's been told that his Sili vote is probably bad and he's made commentary that he dislikes Nyn, Hallia, Salami, and even you -- I'm sure you see where I'm going with this.

 

In a game thick with meta knowledge, Wombat is still voting the one player he dosn't have meta with for what are essentially someone else's meta reasons. I hate that.

 

So I'm failing to see why you (or anyone else) is easily convinced he's a villager.

 

 

 

Another thing with Wombat is that when he's a villager he wields it like a sword.

 

He's sharp.

 

He's got bravado.

Yes, this. When I was scum with Wombat he made lots of one-two posts with semi-useless quotes and retorts, and when he was doing his catchup sequence here I kept thinking "where's he going with this?" like he started 5 paths and didn't walk down any of them.

 

 

Can you link me to this scum game?  Because that sounds similar to how he played in ABBA, including being fairly conservative with his vote.

 

As far as you telling him his vote's bad...I understand where you're coming from, but consider a Town!Wombat POV.  Why would he unvote somebody he is suspicious of, just because you provided him with an unsubstantiated meta?  Not only does he NOT know if your Sigi meta is accurate, he wouldn't know if he can trust you.

I didn't say that at all. I said he did it in his town game, which i why I was second guessing myself. No one seemed to recall a game where he got lynched early on as scum... so I can't really verify if this is a tactic.

Why were you strongly townreading Wombat so early? His early posting today was not good.

I didn't think it was pandering at all and he explained his motivation for the vote on Leelou pretty well imo

I disagree. I think he really had a bad tone. Specifically in the last line where he was chastising me for ruining his 'gambit'. And when Wombat asked him about his experience with Lee he said he only played like once with Lee as town. It all looked very.... out of place that he chose to start off with her if he's not that well versed in reading her. Usually Clov is very neat and pretty much overwhelms me with his logic. Like I can sit there and just nod when I read his posts. But I'm not feeling it this game.

Kinda think it's a bit early to make that kind of evaluation but eh, I could be wrong on him. Just don't see any strong points against him currently, didn't see anything wrong with his tone myself
