You are arguing that because you've been unwilling to yield, that equates with confidence... but there's a missing component.

 

Sincerity. It can be felt when a villager posts. It just happens naturally, it doesn't need to be massaged into a post or over-explained. You're struggling to make me believe you. You're falling back on old habits of hyper-narrow focus and semantic arguments; you're basically calling me a hypocrite. If that's the best you've got then it's not enough. It's not convincing.

 

And that's my ultimate crux on you: I have had success reading villa Clov pretty well for the past few months. He's not here. I'm not convinced. You sound like a liar to me and you haven't been able to talk me out of that feeling.

 

I don't know what else to tell you. I offered to let you show me what the best course of action is for the village and you came after me instead. You can try again if you're serious about getting me to read you differently.

I'm a bit tired of being talked out of my strongest scum reads and CFDing onto a villager and then having people tinfoil on me for the rest of the game because I didn't lynch scum D1. You vote for Thane if you want to. I'm not unvoting Clov until I see substantial improvement. I told him what I want; let's see if he delivers.

I've stated my strongest scum reads multiple times this game and you've told me I'm wrong to suspect them and to change them multiple times...

@Wombat: I'm not the GOAT Clov reader but he has one overwhelming villager tell: confidence. He's always right, even if he's wrong he's right. It's just part of his personality. Things are very cut and dry to him in ways that I think only he understands, and that hubris is really apparent when he's a villager. It's lacking here. Here he reads weasely. He's made several posts out of his town range with bizarre phrasing, insincerity, and hedging; but most importantly the lack of confidence. After the way he weakly FoS'd me tonight, as if he had to talk himself into finding m suspicious, he's only looking more and more full of it.

A couple days ago you thought I was obviously scum because I refused to listen to your meta read on Csarmi in favor of my play based on his actual gameplay. See, I just feel like she hasn't had much but fluff here and there. I get that there's not a lot to her posts, but she seems fluffier than usual to me.

 

And frankly? If she is town, I think she should try more. Lord knows I used to get a lot of flack for only going off gut feelings, so I started putting more effort into discerning the reasons behind those feelings and giving more off my reads. I'd like to see her do the same.
