I did think about a scum watcher and decided A) they are rare and B) unlikely in a game this small and C) I don't care because I'm dying N1. I die N1 because I can't keep my mouth shut. I cause drama, I rile up the thread, I try to find mafia. That's bad news for scum who want the thread quiet and complacent. Is it possible I would live to D2? Yeah it's possible. I just don't think it's likely, particularly after I've started getting riled up. At least now there's doubt. Shooting me tonight might be a waste. And if I can draw a roleblock: that's fine too. I'll just keep hunting myself. I don't need cop views to scumhunt.

 

And like I said I don't think this is an optimal strat for basically anyone else but I hate being cop in small games and I decided to just go for the doc appeal instead of doing nothing and dying anyway. It's an experiment at the very least.

I will say that I don't think I'm having a stellar game either for two reasons- I let my frustration from work boil over into this game and I think I helped make a notsomuch fun atmosphere for a bit, and for that I apologize, and I also think I misread Csarmi earlier. His vote on me does look mighty opportunistic there, looks like fake scumhunting to me and trying to pile on to someone who could get momentum quick. Could be OMGUS but eh.

I think to myself that maybe Arsis is coming from a town place with his NA spec and concern for the Doc/potential Mafia PRs to snuff out Town's other roles now that the Cop is outed.

I admit I'm being, or was being, a grumpypants, but that doesn't change the fact that claiming early really does give scum the advantage. The more vanillas that scum hit with NK's, the better for town. When they have a whole bevy of PR's to choose from tho for their nightly kill it often goes poorly for town. I really wish you would listen to me about this instead of just assuming you're right or that it's no big deal to claim early.

Only drawback to Doc protecting Tommy tonight is if Mafia has both a Watcher and RBer. Unlikely imo.

 

This way Tommy gets at least ONE view in - and if he doesn't get his result than he can inform us of a RBer presence.

1. I could be a town PR either faking obliviousness or having a role that just doesn't have similar flavor

 

2. Calling out vanillas when two PR's have already outed (potentially making it easier for scum to catch other PR's that might still be out there) is bad juju
