TG, I'd be interested in your take on Clov. I know you want to lynch him but I don't think you've said why. Not sure what the perceived link between us is; our subtle rapport that's developed over the past 2-3 games? He's someone I'm going to mostly ignore D1, one of those "if he doesn't get night killed eventually, panic" players. A couple games ago I cased him hard D1 for making nitpicking posts because I thought that hyper-narrow focus was a scumtell for him, but he flipped town and since then I've been a bit shy about pushing him early. Other than that lolTom moment we've been having good town/town runs together as of late, so I'm comfortable giving him the town nod when I see him being making good points; I remember liking his early skepticism of Drunk, his abrasive attitude, and his case on NB today was accurate. I guess he could be pocketing me, but I don't really have a basis for that other than general paranoia because he's a slimy SOAB.

So yeah, what is it you're seeing?

I just want to point this out for everyone else to see. Besides everything else being terribad, here Mynd claims I said I "won't lynch DT because he's new to DM?" Go ahead, click the link. @DrunkTank - I regret to inform you, but your guest pass expires on D2....or maybe N1 apparently. As our Goodwill Ambassador has pointed out, you only get one phase of amnesty from him instead of a whole game. Semantics of course, why would anyone get amnesty at all in a mafia game? So Mynd has no town reads, only scum reads and null reads. Yup, seems legit.

No one is likely town at this point from my POV. I'm more concerned about those who give town credit to others for weak reasons.

What is the purpose of this post here anyway? You don't comment on anything I said but you want to downplay and discredit my reads. Why are you so afraid that others might actually take me seriously? I don't take myself seriously half the time.

You did nothing but rehash/consolidate in that post. Ive already commented and given my thoughts on most of those points of yours and I didnt feel like repeating them /again/

I talked about everyone in there. Why are you only focused on my comments with your name on it? If you were truly scumhunting, you would have read the whole thing.

I can't put anyone in the town condos yet because no one has really done anything significantly town. Vos is one I typically read as town yet even he seems a bit sketchy to me in this game. True, my post was mostly a summation of what I have already gathered, but nothing significant has occurred since my last post. Why wouldn't anyone be curious about my thoughts on each player at this point?

Your comment added nothing to this game or does not help the town in any way. Its only purpose is to attempt to tell other players "Move along, nothing to see here" which is what a scum would want. I mean, its one thing to disagree with me. To attempt to downplay and discredit Why are you so afraid of other players reading my case?

I didnt focus on just me, ive commented on all of it at one point or another and I read all of it so dont you dare say I havnt.

Slimy SOAB's like blue shells.

From my notes, I saw Clov going sideline sniping at the Rand/Vos back and forth without really getting too deep into it which looked bad to me (p12ish). Strangely I don't remember you engaging in that (you were still in the RVS joke stage), which I saw as you two playing off each other since you were both online at the same time and it was the only major event going on right then. Seeing as that was the major event at the time it seemed odd to me that one would comment and the other wouldn't engage to the same degree. Then when you pivoted off Mynd to start calling me scummy around p14ish, Clov neatly stayed out of it by only sideline commenting (p18) before going back to the Rand situation.

In short, you and Clov neatly avoided each other except for you calling him awesome or something, and it looked like you two were taking a divide and conquer strategy with the thread.

Troll. You didn't answer my questions from last page. And now you're claiming there is no difference between " i will never lynch you" vs. " I won't lynch someone new to DM on D1 to give them time to adjust to the culture in their first game."

As to why he deserves a pass? He doesn't. New players do. It is a common courtesy that players new to DM get at least D1 to get their feet wet before getting lynched. Or, in Hally's understanding, that players new to mafia get at least D1 to get their feet wet before getting lynched.

I expect you think all excretions from a cow are the same.

Posts like this make me think you're scum. You accuse people for discrediting you, rather than your case, but then somebody points out why you're wrong and your response is to make a sarcastic post that serves to discredit how TG (appropriately) responded? If you disagree with his stance on not lynching somebody their first phase here, whatever, but why are you trying to belittle TG for it.

Especially considering Drunk Tank seems to be the closest thing you have to a townread.

Funny how there can be this whole other take on my thread flow that I have no conception of. I don't even remember the Rand/Vos argument anymore. If I've been ignoring him it's because I have a chronic problem where once I think "yeah, this guy's town" I end up ignoring their posts while I focus on other players. I inadvertently did the same thing with Vos, Rand and Mynd and have lost track of their stances. I'm aware of this issue and it's exacerbated by me phone posting from work 90% of the time I'm active. I think you'd agree that my rhetoric has improved tenfold just from being on a laptop right now.

I remember thinking "that sounds like swords sharpened Clov" when he tried to prod clarity out of Rand early on. If we don't see more of that as the game progresses, or if he doesn't die, he's worth reconsidering.

Not that I disagree with what you're saying, but there's been a lot of hypocrisy in this game; it's not necessarily scum motivated. If he CAN'T back up his statements (like NB), then it might be.
