I am town. I can only win with town. I can not win with any other faction as far as I am aware. My win condition aligns exactly with that of a town win condition.

Also, I owe Clov a freaking giant fruitcake for Christmas this year for stepping in front of a bullet and deconstructing Red's "attacks" against me. I had already declined to do so out of protection of my general health and safety, but he was a pal and showed the holes in logic that I wouldn't.

 

Even if it turns out Clov is a deep wolf white knighting me, I won't be voting to lynch him anytime soon

 

 

Also, @ Dawn voting me because I "seem to be the easiest lynch of happening" even tho Wombat is at L-1, and the deadline still isn't close so consolidation isn't even close to being necessary

I still think he's the most likely scum (and intend to move back), but I don't want him hanging around L-1 until Dap checks in. He cased Despot right before deadline, then disappeared and hasn't said anything during this phase. I think it would be a mistake to not hear from him.

This is gospel truth btw. Having this day go by without Dap commenting at all would be a pretty big disservice to town.

Despo has been irking me a little

 

So this is my case on despo, still not sure whether I'm leaning mafia or town on him but hopefully by the end of this ill have a better read. I think I'm leaning more towards mafia or else my spidey senses wouldn't be tingling.

So des starts the game with his video but also a "hard claim" of villager and nilla.

It's early in the placement of all the claims (we are still on the first page at this point) so I never read into it at the time.

Keeping it in mind for this read through though

 

He interacts with Cory pretty early on in a rather friendly manner. I don't know Cory, I think he started just as I left, but I get the feeling he is a friend from another site or something.

More interesting is how he votes for Nyn and follows wombat in that, but still pokes Corey. I'm pretty sure I'm just reading overly into that at this point tho.

 

Now Darthe arrives, in his OP he says he vigged des. Little connection there, nothing major. Next he votes RTE and that begins that.

Well then. That was an interesting catch up. Overall I'm generally happy that the game is picking up, not happy to see EmoCory resurfacing somewhat

 

 

Regardless, this is still a mafia game, and there's still a lot of other players involved in this besides just Cory, so I would recommend anyone that has the urge to thunderdome with Cory to let off for a bit, and wait and see if this emo is legit or fake. I REALLY don't wanna see this game go through any kind of blech that causes people's WIM to go down (since I'm the only one who can still be awesome effective even when my WIM is low).

Also, Darthe looks surprisingly townie to me this game. Casually references our rivalry in what looks like a genuine manner, and the mindmeld on a couple of other things speak well in his favor as well.

It's also a known part of my meta that I have given people light villager leans for being willing to go @ me early and you are a talented and self-aware enough player to attempt to abuse something like this

Uhm, OP analysis by it's very nature is taking something out of context somewhat to see how genuine it looks. I mean, you consider context to some degree at times, but you're still focusing on a single post, not looking at a player in aggregate.

Ping # dos on Wombat. Had an early "joke" vote on Nyn before she showed up (that I blindly followed of course, because reasons), then later asks Cory what he thinks of Nyn.

After Flemming had been killed, Tallow had ordered them into rooms. "VERY GOOD. NOW, GET OUT OF THE HALLWAYS AND CORRIDORS! I HAVE SET MY PETS LOOSE, AND THEY ARE.... HUNGRY! HAHAHAHA!"

 

No sooner had the last investigator closed the last door than an ungodly howling burst out, clamouring from seemingly all directions. The corridors rang with monstrous growls, hoots and roars. Interestingly, the rooms had interconnecting doors, an impossible network of them that seemed to reach every room. While the others cowered in their rooms, the Cult of the Yellow Sign plotted. Finally, they sent Floyd out into the hallways to investigate, and see what these creatures were. It was penance, they said, for daring to utter the Unspeakable One's name thrice. Fearless as always, Floyd obeyed. He left the room, entering the demoniacal cacophony. He didn't return.

 

 

Several hours later, the cacophony stopped, and tentatively, the investigators opened their doors, and resumed their search of the mansion. They found two things, one terrible, and one ominous. The first, was Luke Quarter, alone in a room, huddled in a corner. She had been that way for hours, and when someone checked her they found they found her throat slit. The second discovery was much less gruesome- a pair of clothes, in a ruffled pile, in the middle of a hallway. After a count, they determined that the clothes belonged to Floyd. No trace of him was ever found.

1) I don't think he would come in and claim his first post if he was mafia.  He MIGHT be vanilla mafia, but if he's roled, he's gambling hard that no tracker calls his bluff and he doesn't hit a watched target.

2) His pushes early in the game made sense and seemed genuine to me. 

3) His exchanges with both Cory and (especially) Tommy didn't make sense to me from a mafia perspective.  Why would he sit here and go back and forth with obviouslynch!Tom if he already knew Tom was going to flip town? 

 

 

 

 

 

Does nobody here understand that Cory is not omniscient, and neither am I? I was quite convinced he was scum due to his behavior -- others even agreed with me on this. I invited Mak to hydra with me so he could try playing with a new crowd and a different culture, one I had hoped was more mature. Instead, we're having emotional meltdowns and town-town suicide pacts based on NOTHING that escalated for NO REASON. I even told Cory I wouldn't have time to push him and his reaction was to turn around and call me lock scum and then purposefully bait me into killing myself? That's ridiculous, even if he was right. All he's done is detail D1 and I want to try and piece this game back together.

 

VOTING ME IS LAZY, pure and simple. I am not scum and I cannot believe how many people have come out of the woodwork yet nobody is saying "huh, I wonder if they were both just wrong." MOREOVER, your reaction to his maneuver DID look forced. Was it upsetting what he did? Obviously. But we're all big boys here, we can get over it and go back to playing mafia.
