To be honest I'd rather lynch TG over Tina despite the evidence brought up. TG just seems SO MUCH SCUMMIER to me.

If the game was more active, or if everyone on the Tina wagon checks in tonight and agrees, I'd go for that. I think we should lynch next since both Tina and TG are likely scum and we already have half the votes required to lynch Tina today.

 

The "if we don't reach majority in 28 hours someone randomly dies" thing is the main problem when coupled with the overall activity level on DM.

Firing the brush to catch slips is one thing.  Purposely taking things out of context, purposely misinterpreting, and purposely pushing people with trumped up cases for the sole purpose of frustrating them is another.  I've never really agreed with your method of scumhunting because your "cases" do more to frustrate than anything else.  Scum, because they are already acting, will have a more reasonable reaction to your purposeful frustration tactics whereas town will get more angry and upset since that is a more honest and natural reaction.  In the end it muddies the water and doesn't help catch scum.  Case in point?  Nolder.  I thought that you were purposely taking it too far and purposely misunderstanding him and that, to me, is either scummy or not good town scumhunting play.  So, that is why I said I didn't like it and I still don't.  His continued play after that gave me a scum lean on him, but the early on stuff by you and Tommy was trumped up and gave me a scum lean on you two for pushing it.

 

What bothers me most about your whole post is this.  You are seeding a reaction.  I said early on that you were pushing a trumped up case.  You yourself admit that you do this often.  Well, I think it's scumtastic and said so.  Your response is to say that I'm laying the groundwork for a future push, thereby trying to future-proof yourself against any scumhunting I do on you throughout the rest of the game.  Then you go through and "analyze" each post with that conclusion in mind, making each post I've written conform to that already reached conclusion.  Moreso, it colors how everyone else is going to read our interactions.  You consistently do stuff like this when you're scum, trying to future-proof yourself against any push on you by discrediting anyone in thread who is suspicious of you.

 

1st paragraph- mostly that you find my scumhunting style in general to be bad, so that makes your read on me look.. better somehow? Ellipses?

 

Lemme ask you something TG. You say town are likely to react one way to my early pushes, and scum another. Then you continue to discredit the tactic. Do you not get the logical disconnect here? You're thinking I'm scumhunting when you can often scumhunt in reverse just as easily. If you can do anything as town that makes scum and town react differently, you should do so every game, and as much as possible every game to help everyone @solve games.

 

2nd paragraph- yeah yeah yeah and guess what? That whole 2nd paragraph can be seen as futureproofing me from defending your future attacks on me as well. Welcome to wifom highway.

Having a lot of trouble following Fishlami now. Despite Des getting at him pretty hard, he's had Des as town the entire time, but is asking Nolder if he thinks Des is suspicious? I don't get that, but anyway, he thinks Golden, Tina and TG are scummy for vague reasons. He strongly feels TG is scum but isn't doing anything to push that by this point. His vote is there, but he's not trying to convince anyone.

 

I think it's possible all 3 people on the Salami wagon at that point are town. Nolder has me, Darthe, and Peace on it. Turin would have been on it if his vote had been formatted correctly. Something to keep an eye on.

The most likely cause of your confusion here (which Despo noted later too, but he even tried to completely misread the sequence is that you're connecting stuff that have nothing to do with one another.

 

Here, I'll fix it for you:

 

1) I question Nolder about Despo (don't remember exactly why, I think it was because he seemed to be ignoring him or smth). The main thing about it that I was interested how he would react on this. He just dismissed the question by asking back.

 

2) You're asking me about my pings (speccifically Despo and Golden and Turin) and I give you this answer (in several parts cause phone DM was completely acting up and ate my posts a few times):

 

Golden's vote is horrible. I think I mentioned it back there. Irony much.

Turin's vote and vanish. It sounded pretty OK for me at that point. I could certainly feel the "him Nolder should be voted" breeze in the air when he did.

I didn't care for Tina's appearance either.

This explanation actually looks reasonable to me. Fitting them together it's easy to see how out of context he looks like he's fos'ing me for a sec. But structured the way he says, it makes sense as well.

You prob saved yourself some heartache. First books were great, starts to tail off towards the end... was nice to see the series finished at least but seeing the characters warped into something their not was somewhat painful.

I thought Monk to start the day, then he claimed Han.  I have scum leans on Des, Tina, Cory, Kronos and maybe SP.  Town on Krak, Monk, AJ, CS.  Null on you, Turin, GE, Pral. 

 

Would be willing to lynch TG based on this set of reads alone. Looks like he pulled half of em out of a hat, and a lot of others are in the wrong place.

I'm not sure how you can tell me I'm actively scumhunting and yet I'm null, then tell me Despot and I were just "misinterpreting" Nolder's posts. Did another seven people also misinterpret it? Or do you think they're all scum? Look at the EOD1 votes:

That means you think SP, AJ, Salami, Darthe and possibly Golden all "misinterpreted" Nolder as well since you think they're town or null, right?

 

You and Des purposely pushed it with Nold by misinterpreting his words as black or white at the outset.  That is what I didn't like.

 

Then, as the situation progressed, Nol melted down and looked scummy.  As it continued to progress I thought Nol looked scummy throughout the next few RL days and X's defense didn't help.  A lot happened between that initial interaction, which I didn't like, to a couple days later when Nol/X got lynched.

 

Incidentally X's defense DID help slightly, but it wasn't near enough unfortunately. Nol really did screw town by subbing out like he did, left X in too big a hole. X's responses themselves tho weren't that bad.

 

I´ve read up until page 32. Will continue tomorrow morning. Will comment on what I have until this point and then go back to defend myself from those who voted me. 

 

Des: starts with his ridiculous case on Csarmi. First he says that Cs is trying to distance from a nk since he said that he didn´t have a gun to shoot Des with. He also said it was scummy that Csarmi bandwagoned on Des. (I agreed about the last point.) At the same time he thought that Nolder´s vote on Cs was opportunistic and agreed with Tom´s reasons for voting Nolder. Then he says that Cs´s "don´t care if I look scummy" line was scummy since he could use it later in the game to defend himself. This was after Cs´s reveal. He tell´s me that he makes up cases all the time. That is as far as I know his only defense so far. Then he voted Nolder and said that he had seen that Cs was probably town but wanted to press him to see what reaction that would give. His scum list at that time is the same as mosts lists - Nolder, Darthe, Tina, TG and Monk. Monk had only one post by then. When Nolder left the game he voted TG instead but went back to X when others voted him. Then he thinks Cs starts to be scummy again since he helped Kronos. Then he fos me and SP for our reasons to suspect him.

 

I can´t help but make the same conclusion as on day 1. Des is making up a case on Csarmi. He can say that he makes up cases all the time all he wants. It still looks scummy. Saying that Cs looked town looked like backtracking since many had said he looked town by then. He basically sheeps other´s thoughs and then OMGUS fos me and SP. 

 

Lol so you've read half the thread, yet the only thing you can still bring up against me is my case on Salami. Weaksauce pushing of one of your top scumreads there Tina.

 

I also like your pretty much non-reads of both Turin and GE. Also, #dat distance against TG

 

 

Tina, I had to heartily chuckle at that catchup post. Basically: everyone but Salami and Kronos are scum candidates. OK.

 

No. I think I was unsure about most people. Scum = Des, TG, Monk, maybe Golden and Cory. 

 

LOL classic scum move- when on the hot seat, try and distance from your buddies in reads list, even tho you never really pushed those reads before. She even separates them out nice and evenly for us :biggrin:

 

I´m almost asleep but I have to comment on this post as well. First - I never back tracked on Nolder. I just thought that my first post sounded a bit harsh. I didn´t want it to look like Nolder leaves whenever he is in danger of getting lynched. I still stand by that I have seen him get inactive/leave/get replaced in situations before though. And that was the reason I voted him. 

 

There is a difference because of Csarmi´s and Monk´s claims. Csarmi made a lie detect proof claim on day 1 without any reason at all. I have never seen someone do that as scum. I guess that is colouring my thoughts on the rest of his play but I just don´t see Csarmi as scum. I had a scum read on Monk before his claim and I guess it´s harder for me to accept his claim because of it. But, as you see, I have unvoted him. Still don´t know about him. 

 

Looked like backtracking to me. Still does, your explanation doesn't make it look any different.

 

Dunno why you keep commenting on the "lie detector proof" thing with Salami's claim, but not with Monk's. How is Monk's claim any less vettable by a LD? Makes no sense. You're just trying to justify something after the fact, even tho you got caught red handed. How you handled Salami's and Monk's claims is completely different, and again your explanation doesn't come close to convincing me you didn't arbitrarily change how you handled the claims because of your scum agenda.

A lot about TG's play def doesn't make sense. Tina looks pretty scummy to me too, but part of it could be confirmation bias. But I'd be willing to switch to TG based on his reads list alone. Tina's wasn't that strong either, but at least had some reasoning to try and back some of them up. TG looks like he picked his names out of a hat.

TG's reads are downright idiotic. There isn't even much to gain a town lean on for AJ in the first place. At all. His play overall is pretty scummy and he's become the scummiest of all my current leans.

Chinese fire drill -- large vote movements. As in, if we get enough people on board to push the lynch through, I'm game to switch.

Given the time constraints, and the fact that people may not show up before EOD2, I am also fine lynching Tina, since either "T" is likely to strike scum.

I hope whoever is replacing Golden is a nice person than Golden and IDK about Salami but I remember him being good enough Maf to trick you in ASR2 first go :P
