Nice.  I just dinged level 60 with my Death Knight last night - my first character to hit 60!!

 

I'm thinking the DK might be my main....I'm lovin' it.  Made my way back to Stormwind and picked up Mining and Engineering.

gratz on the drake empy.  if you go back to the orc camp you can buy the other 5 for 200g each.  then get the Coconuts addon to randomly summon a flying mount when you want to fly

Thanks Canuk... no more egg hunting makes me happy!  I will grab the others another day... saving for Cold Weather flying and possible dual spec for my priest.  I have about 1600 g already.  I am a bit stingy with the gold...

So where did you get this mount Emp? Where are these quests? How do I get there? Didn't you get an epic mount from referring Vanion? Or did he not pay for 2 months? You need to check your account to see if you got one.

 

Yep, got lots of flight points, but the absolute best part is when we thought we were all badass and jumped from a cliff and both died. When we popped up at a cemetary, we were right at the place we had been trying to find! So I told Emp to just take the gear damage and use the Spirit Healer, but I think he may have res'd already. So I made it on the turtle boat, and he was inches away from getting on it--he even made this hilarious flying leap to try and get on the boat, and then he used his water walk ability and started chasing the boat down...but it was too fast. Seriously one of the funniest things I've seen in the game. *bursts out laughing...AGAIN*

Dude, I hit the boat where you get on and bounced right off into the water.  It was funny though. 

 

Go to Shadowmoon... where those dragons are twirling around... in front of dragonmaw fortress... the big crystals... southeast corner of shadowmoon.  There may not be a exclamation mark over the quest givers head as he fights those monsters that are around.  You need to find...Mordenai on the ground... he roams.

Once you get to Friendly I can show you where each and every egg can be found.  Each egg gets you 250 rep but competing for them is a bitch.  I usually only found 5-6 a day.  Best time was early in the morning before the kids wake up.  It took me a little over a week to get the drake.

51 points straight down the Blood tree.  I'm going to start mining the newbie areas and get that prof leveled ASAP so I can make the gold you people do....lol.

mining is awesome for gold on that server.  :)  I've NEVER had that much gold at that level (almost 17 I think?) without transferring from another character, and I updated all my gear on the auction house at 14.

Ok updates updates...

 

This weekend was busy for me.

 

Puffnstuff - I finally got him to level 40 (4 levels).  This means I can transport people to big cities now.  Why is it I can not take people to Darannasis until 50 though?  Odd.

 

Darkfluffy - I dinged 76 last night.  I also upgraded much of my armor.  I am thinking about respeccing to be more of a offtank (or main tank in 5 man) and plan to do some research about which tree would be best for that.  I know Frost raises armor but blood self heals. 

 

DrBarbie - Very close to 45.  I hope to be mid 50's by the end of the week.  It all depends on how long it takes me to get my main to 77 though.  I really want cold weather flying.

On a semi-related note, I switched mains about 9 times this weekend.  Verbal, Deadverb, and back and forth.  I need professional help.

whats WOW like these days, I lost interest at lvl 64, didn't enjoy burning crusade also my guild split at that point.

The Wrath expansion seems to be pretty popular.  I know leveling in Northrend is much more fun/easier than in Outland.  Otherwise I doubt WoW is that much different.  We are getting more and more DMers playing at the same time and once everyone gets their mains high enough I feel confident we will be doing some guild activities.

I leveled a bit in Outland last night, and I liked it.  I got a couple greens that were better than the blues from Azeroth!

FDM and I dungeoned most of the night.  She tanked for the first time with her Pally.  Of course she mentioned this one time and our healer instantly left.  Probably didn't help that when we first entered the dungeon I said "man this tank sucks" :P  Anyway, we went through Upgrade Keep twice and the Spider place twice.  She leveled to 74 and got a good way to 75 while I am about halfway to 77 now.  I feel pretty good about tanking myself in those instances.. just need to study up on ways to keep threat with my DK.

I think there have been a lot of changes since WotLK came out.

 

1. You get your first mount at 20, instead of 30. Fast mounts at 40, instead of 50.

2. You can learn Dual Talent Specialization, which means that beginning at level 40, you can switch between two different talent specs on one character whenever you want. This includes all new glyph set as well.

3. They did a lot of revamping to abilities and spells, turning some abilities to spells, and some vice versa.

4. Lots and lots and lots of new stuff. Gear, spells, glyphs, quests, factions...you name it.

5. Not sure when this change was made, but nobody can ninja your mining points while you are mining it anymore. Instead of having to mine a point multiple times, you just get all the ore in the one time you mine the vein.

6. Dungeon Finder. 'nuff said. :D

 

That is seriously just the tip of the very large iceberg of changes.

The changes are all in the details, the game in itself is exactly the same thing with a lot of small changes to it that are generally good. I think the only core change to the game is the dungeon finder, instead of those old portal stones that sucked so much, you can now do pugs cross-realm, which means you rarely ever have to wait more than maybe 20 minutes to find a group for a dungeon, and you definitely never have to sit in the capital cities spamming LFG or trade chat to fill a group.

Last night when I checked off tank in the Dungeon Finder, Emp and I did not wait for longer than 2 minutes to get in a dungeon. It was like, as soon as he hit enter...we were put into a dungeon. I think at one point we got the giggles.

Let me expand upon Barm's talk of the dungeon finder.  Basically you queue it up and go about your business.  You can quest, ride birds, get on a boat, play in the AH and when a tank, a healer and 3 dps are found you get a prompt that you click that takes you to the dungeon.  And when you are finished with the dungeon, you get put right back where you left off.  Also if you do randoms (not picking specific dungeons) you get free blue gear, money and additional XP.  I have my priest decked out in all top grade blue gear and I haven't quested for 28 levels.

I dinged 77 last night and got cold weather flying.  Sweet!

 

I also dinged 46 with my healer.  We are playing an instance which I just cringe when enterting these days... that Zul one.  I look forward to being past that one and on to new places.
