Silver it depends if you would rather dps or tank... and depends on what kind of gear you have now. I would think retribution though. Glad to have you back man!

 

Verbal - I am down with whatever man. I have no real issue with leaving SG and coming back after cata. Let me ask you this though (just out of curiousity)... what is the benefit of me leaving SG and coming to another guild? As long as Varj invites me each time it shouldn't be an issue.

I'll answer these together. I want to eventually come back to SG in Cata as well, and getting the guild all the perks/achievements that we can. I really do. But here's my problem - I just don't think there will be enough people to do it. We can't even get 10 people online at once, nevermind actually do raids. If we can expand the memberbase a little, then I'd definitely come back.

 

But I just don't see us having enough people, ya know? I'd rather be in a guild where I have options for 25-man or 10-man or whatever each night. I don't see that with SG, but I see it with the Dragons. I'd be very happy to be wrong on this, and it would be great to have a SG core.

Do we need a secondary tank for the new 10 man? Should I be gearing up my DK more?

I'd rather have you healing beside me, but that's just my biased opinion.

 

But whatever you want -- I think Canuk would rather mDPS, but I'm not convinced we can always rely on Allaf (the warrior tank) to be there. Having Fluffy as an off-tank option would be awesome, though. Totally up to you.

The trick is I might need to run Fluffy though some ICCs to get some good gear. Right now all my gear is dps so I need a good tank set. Maybe I can run through when we have plenty of healers in our 10 man.

I admit I feel a little dumber now with the new patch. It actually tells me when to use spells. "Oh your target is below 20% life. Use that spell now.. Here, I will tell you in big letters across your screen and flash the icon"

 

I hear in the next patch the game plays for you.

The trick is I might need to run Fluffy though some ICCs to get some good gear. Right now all my gear is dps so I need a good tank set. Maybe I can run through when we have plenty of healers in our 10 man.

 

Run some heroics too, for the justice points, and buy t10 gear with it. Supplementing a couple of ICC runs with that, and you should be reasonably geared for OTing within a few weeks.

I would love to get a naxx raid put together. Unfortunately only Xexah and Cat ever accept.

 

I got my Pally tank to 76 last night. Only a few more weeks until I am 80. Each instance is only netting me about 10% xp, so I hope HOS and Gun net me higher returns.

Varju and I actually had another long conversation about WoW last night. He's wishing that he never left the Dragons, hehe. I'm going to be online tonight to ensure that the new version of Clique is working. If not, I'm out until it is working - I'm not learning mouseover macros or Vuhdo or Healbot at this stage of the game. It's Grid/Clique for me or nothing.

 

Assuming it's working now (it prob is), then I'll be setting something up for Sunday night in ICC. It'll be our old group going at it again. I think Canuk is still saved on Sindragosa, so I'm not sure if she'll be there. But I plan on starting again at Marrowgar, so we can get used to ICC in the new patch together.

 

Also, Varju and I discussed taking another shot at Ruby Sanctum soon. We're much better geared than the last time we ventured in there, so maybe we can get something down.

 

I'm down for a Naxx run, but I might have to join in progress - I can't get online as early as some of you. Actually, I want to down all raid bosses in the game - from vanilla WoW all through BC. I haven't seen ANY of them, so I'd like to check it out. 2 or 3 of us can probably down the lvl60 raids, and maybe the 70 ones as well. Anybody up for that?

i'm no longer saved at Sin because of tuesday roll over. I won't be online Sunday because it's Halloween. It would be good to have you along to do all the raids as I want to do them too. You need to be quick getting you Zul Gurub raid going as that is the only raid that's being removed in Cata. ATM Khanrhyd has me helping him farm the associated rep because that too will be removed and both achieves will most likely be come feats.

 

btw, khanrhyd doesn't get online till 12am wednesday to friday mornings.

I am down with any and all raids.. be it easy or hard. We can definitely get a small party of 3 or 4 together to tackle the early ones. Just sucks you can not get on until 10. Maybe we can do these on Friday nights so those of us on the East Coast can stay up later.

So I've been playing WoW just starting like 3 or 4 months ago so I'm basically a noob. I have a 80 DK with what I think is some pretty good purple gear stuff but now I don't really know what I should be doing. I pretty much ran out of quests I can do. I can't go to dalaran cause my comp is too crappy to load it so I can't get the quests from there. So what's an easy way to get into a raid? I've tried the raid browser thing and nothing ever happens. Should I just keep doing dungeons and try and get better gear or what? Here's my guy if anyone could offer any input. I get the feelings you guys are pretty hardcore veterans of it.

don't worry about doing raids. Cataclysm is coming out in a month and everyone will be working quests, trying to survive 5man dungeons and trading in their hard earned purples for quest reward greens.

 

why are you on azuremyst? do you have friends there? we'd like to see you on sen'jin with us.

 

if you have lag issues with dal, you're going to have lag issues with stormwind soon. try going to your video options and turning everything down to low. then go to the interface options and turn off all player names. might make it easier. for walking i recommend angling your camera down at your feet and zoom right in. then navigate using the minimap. i used to have to do that back when stormwind was the primary city for alliance. if i didn't do that it would take me 5 real life mintues to walk from the flight master to the forge during peak hours. i could manage not lagging in a 10man raid but not anything more then that. too many players and spell effects for my computer to render.

You are probably not going to get better gear drops in the instances at this point. You need to get to Dalaran to turn in those Justice Points for better gear.

Ok, I had my GM set up a guild raid (Dragons) for Sunday night, and then hand me reins of the event, so I could add Barbie & Xexah. You guys should see the invite on your calendars. This is a test run to see how many other guildies we can get and fill out a 10-man group.

You didn't extend your lockout? Cool! That means you raid with us on Sunday! And I think I might have already done ZG, but I'm cool with doing it again in case others need it. I think that if me, you, and Emp were to group up we could breeze through all of the 60 & 70 raids without a problem.

I can be online a little earlier once in a while. Here is my best shot at a schedule:

 

Sunday: 9:30pm

Monday: 9:45pm

Tuesday: n/a

Wednesday: 10:00pm

Thursday: n/a

Friday: 9:45pm

Saturday: 9:45pm

 

I can usually do that, with once in a while doing earlier.

Well I have a buddy who I play with (Which is why I'm on Azurmyst) who, when I get enough points, goes to dalaran for me on his comp. Which is how I got those 3 scourgelord thingies last night. So getting there to get gear isn't a huge problem. My buddy just has to be on. Which he usually is. Doesn't it cost like 25 bucks to change your toons realm? Cause I'm not doing that lol. But I could always make a new one on your guys' realm right? Obviously I would just have to work for awhile before I was able to do anything with you guys.

What is Cataclysm going to cost?? And if I didn't get it, say because I can't afford it, would I still be able to play? Cause aren't they changing the landscape and all sorts of shit?

But yeah, my buddy is on Azuremyst, that's why I'm on there. And all that video stuff is already turned down lol.

cataclysm is about $40. you will still be able to play WoW with out it but you will not be able to play the new races or go to the added zones. i don't know about the rest of the world. you should post on the wow forums and ask a blizz rep.
