My music is on MySpace!!

Hello everyone!!! I'm getting into the habit of (occasionally) plugging my own music, though it's tough for someone as inherently shy as myself!! Guess I'm going to have to become a shameless harlot if I want to be a famous rock star, though ;) So here I am practising!!!

 

If anyone else has music on MySpace I would like to know about that too *g*. Meanwhile, here is mine:

P.S. I just have to say that I love MySpace. I know that it has a bad reputation, I mean that serial killer guy had a page there!!! But I have found some truly awesome artists on there that I otherwise would probably never have heard of, so I have almost nothing but praise for the notoriety magnet that is MySpace. Hehe.

mmmm... sorry maybe that's because i m belgian but why has myspace a bad reputation ?

There have been a lot of articles and stuff published which talked about myspace. They talked about how some freaks could kidnap teenagers and stuff from looking at their myspaces and talking to the people, especially if they arrange to meet. It also has a bad reputation because some employers will look at applicants' myspaces and might refuse them for things on their myspace.

Hi Egwene, thanks for pointing me in that direction hehe. I've cast my vote! It sounds like a great idea.

 

Anyway...yes, what Mat Cauthon said is about right, basically the thing MySpace has a reputation for is housing all sorts of freaks and geeks. I heard on the radio recently a joke that if you wanted to meet a cross-dressing cannibal painter you could definitely do so on MySpace somewhere. So that is the reputation it has. And a lot of people sneer when you mention MySpace, but I zealously defend its good points, i.e. finding awesome new bands!! ;)

I haven't had any trouble at all with MySpace, but I guess it's like any Internet place - has a bad reputation. People are scared of the 'net! Especially people who don't use it *lol*
