Physical Description: 5’6” weight 140lbs. Olive skin of her Domani family. Dark brown eyes, almost black. Auburn hair wavy hair to the middle of her back. She has very round hips. She also has a beauty mark on the center of her chest, level with her shoulders.

Place of birth: Village near mountains of mist in Arad Doman.

Age: 16

Character History: Jahana grew up in her small Domani village learning the trade of her mother, trading. Her mother also tried to instill in her a Domani trader’s best weapon, the art of attracting men. Jahana, however, could simply not understand the need to socialize. As she grew and became a lovely young woman, her mother continued to stress the importance of a “woman’s art”. Jahana learned how to dress and how to wear alluring make-up, but still couldn’t comprehend other’s feelings. As a social misfit, Jahana never made many friends. Her lack of understanding caused many problems for her family. Frustrated at her lack of ability in the family business, Jahana’s mother finally gave up and disinherited her daughter.

 

Jahana, alone, made it her quest to study the way that people socialized so that she could finally understand and become a functioning member of society. She traveled to Carhien with a merchant caravan. There Jahana knew she could learn more about people’s social structures than anywhere else. Soon after her arrival, she saw an Aes Sedai at an inn. Jahana was amazed at the skill with which the Aes Sedai was able to traverse the currents surrounding even this modest inn. She approached, awestruck, and asked if the Aes Sedai would teach her to be just like her. That evening, the Aes Sedai tested Jahana, and off she went to Tar Valon.
