Wheel of Time Books Seen in Movie Background

In the 1994 movie, "Wolf" with Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer, there is a ceiling to floor bookcase prominante in the movie that is stocked with Wheel of Time books.

The story is about Jack Nicholson's character being bit by a wolf one night. He then slowly starts turning into a wolf himself while trying to live his normal life. As I was watching, I thought that the storyline was similar to Perrin's in the Wheel of Time. Lo, and behold I then saw the bookshelf lined with Wheel of Time books. I don't know if this is intentional or not but a it is a fun easter egg for us WOT fans.

Sorry, could not find any screen caps of the scene. But it is best seen in the scene where Jack is negotiating his new contract with his boss. They are sitting at a table right in front of the bookshelf and they are clearly visible.

The Werewolves reading WoT that just makes me think about what the various critters in my favorite RPG game old World of Darkness would think about the books. I can just see it now.

The Vampires would just love the books for all the politics and backstabbing and would buy them for their childer as training in how to do cut throat politics.

The Werewolves would cheer for Perrin and just go ballistic, after all the Dark One is surly of the Wyrm so a book series leading up to a big end of the world battle against the Wyrm would make all the Garou warm and happy inside.

The Mages would begin liking the books until they get to the section where Thom begin to talk about his nephew and then go "jikes they Gilgul one another in these books, this is a horror story!" and then they would ban the series from the Chantry library so the apprentices would not get frightened, off course the apprentices would get the books anyway and read them in the dark and scare themselves shitless.

The Changelings would go "hum...I wonder if mages actually do taste good." and give the nearest Chantry a strange look.

The Demons would cheer for the Shadow and boo every time a Forsaken get taken out.

The Kuei-Jin would be overjoyed and wave the books around and say "lookie lookie we are not the only one who split the energy we use in a male and a female half, we finally feel understood."

The Hunters would want to slaughter all the channelers, all the wolf brothers, all the Warders, all the Finns, the Ogier, the Shadowspawn, the Sniffers and anything else supernatural in the books, in short they would cheer for the Children of the Light.

The Wraith just would not care, they are dead

I have this movie. Here is a screenie. It's from a slightly different scene (it takes place in the same room) but here the book titles are clearly visible.

There are actually a few more copies of WoT books visible in a wider shot.

Also, I just checked and the  Movie "Wolf"  came out in June 1994 and was likely finished at least a few months prior to that so TSR would be the last WoT book they could put in.
