DM6 Hall RPs and the opinions of Grays

• On the topic of Aes Sedai needing to request permission before leaving the Tower on missions that may be dangerous: Grays are opposed. We believe that any time a Sister leaves the Tower she may be endangering her life and to hamper the Hall with requests each time a Sister has business in the world is a waste of resources. We see this law as a direct threat to our primary purpose of keeping the peace, since treaties are much less frequently needed in peaceful situations.
  

• On the topic of the new law which states male channelers should be studied before gentled: Most Grays are opposed. Though a new law has been made following all the procedures required by Tower Law, most Grays still believe the old Law which served for hundreds of years should still apply. We follow the new law because we are bound by Tower Law to obey the will of the Hall. Some Grays, however, lead by Freja, wholeheartedly support the new law and believe that as time change, so must the law change to suit the times. This is a radical opinion within an Ajah that generally believes that things done following traditions are as good as Law themselves.
  

• On the topic of delaying gentling of male channelers to study them: Grays are opposed. We believe that the Law is the Law and that to delay gentling breaks the Law. We also strongly believe that the White Tower would be leaving itself open to potential disaster by delaying the inevitable and that we have a responsibility to the world to do our duty and follow the letter of the Law.
  

• On the topic of rehabilitating male channelers after they are gentled: Grays are of a mixed opinion on this matter. While we have compassion for those poor men, we recognize that despite all of the efforts sisters would put into giving them a life after their gentling, these men are most likely to die. We like the idea of giving them all the support we can, but we can't help but see this as a waste of our resources.
  

• On the topic of Sedai bearing the children of gentled males to improve the possibility of a child capable of channeling: Grays were decidedly silent, though most believe they were against the proposal and chose not to speak out because of the overwhelmingly negative response of the rest of the Hall to the proposal. It must be noted, however, that the Grays do currently have one member in their ranks who has born a child.

If that's reference to Lavinya....it is hidden knowledge from all save one or two people, one who went missing while Amyrlin (Sirayn) and Estel. Maybe eventually the father will find out too ;)
