Ogier: Settlers or refugees?

They came to Randland from another world. They must have had a reason.

I can only imagine they were fleeing something, or were pioneers.

Thoughts?

Also, do you imagine their homeworld's Wheel revolves in sync with Randland? Seems like it must if they keep showing in every second Age.

Edit: Anyway to edit the title? That should be "Settlers or refugees?" Sorry for the glaring typo.

Don't worry Zorlon i didn't realize it until you pointed it out. But I think they might be refugees. It was probably because War or Famine was destroying there world. Or it could be that they have always been there and they have just have always waited the day they would leave Randland. Sorta like a scap goat

We know the Ogier come from a "parallel" world like the Finns(not a mirror world like where Lanfear took Rand). Never have thought how that works in relation to the wheel though. Good question.

I wonder if they arrived prior to the AOL by means of their book of translation. Certainly they are not all the Ogier, as others are on their world as they are fated to come again. I just wonder if they will up axes and lend a hand. I'm hoping to see Ogier charging into Tarwin's Gap to give some help to Lan.
