Physical Description: Rashida stands around 5â€10, with jet black curling hair, falling down bellow her shoulder blades, and dark brown eyes. She is attractive and striking, but not beautiful. With large eyes, long thick eyebrows and eyelashes set against her pale skin she stands out from the ordinary. Her mouth is a touch small, but her smile makes up for it. She is curvaceous and womanly, though not overweight in any way.

Place of birth: Born and Raised in Tear in a prominent noble house.

Age: 19

Character History: Rashida has a reserved standoffish demeanor, acquired from her years in the courts of Tear. She knows her position in life, and does not suffer fools. However, she is not snobbish or conceited, giving respect for people who show that they deserve it, no matter class, age, or gender. Her take on life is realistic and grounded. Rashida is for the most part polite in her aloof way, except for when she sees fit to take someone down a notch - then she is icily cutting, but still composed. Her sense of humor is rich and well rounded, but is only shown when with her circle of close knit friends. She conducts herself with apparent ease and confidence in society, but is truly an introvert, seeking solitude when she can, and opening up to only a few select people. Rashida has a slight contempt for men as a group, but not as individuals. She has never taken a lover, nor has shown any indication that she desired to. Men, in Rashida’s opinion are good for friendly company, but nothing more – much to the dismay of her father. Despite her lack of interest in men, she is a hopeless romantic underneath all else, and hopes to one day find someone to share her life with.

 

 

 

Her life in Tear was everything to be expected for the daughter of a high noble. She was tutored privately and developed intellectually effortlessly from a young age. She knew how to handle herself, and also how to manipulate – first starting on her parents. This however is something she suppressed as she grew older, for it did not seem right to her to take advantage of other people. She respects those around her, and has a general feeling of obligation to mankind. She was born to wealth and prestige, and so she believed it fell on her, and those like her to protect and improve life for the people around her. Although she could not do anything herself, she urged her father to do so whenever she could. It did not feel right to her to have every luxury when many had so little.

 

 

 

Her life was going by in its usual fashion when, much to the upset of all in Tear, a convoy of Aes Sedai came to the Stone on official business. Rashida often thought it petty that so many people hated and feared the Aes Sedai. Her parents had never held as extreme views on the Aes Sedai as most of the other Tairen Lords, and this had played its part in Rashida’s outlook.

 

 

 

One morning in court, Rashida stood alone away from the crowd of people, and was soon joined by an Aes Sedai of the Blue Ajah. The Aes Sedai began conversation and continued to probe Rashida with questions, until she had worked Rashida into a corner and asked her if she would like to be tested, to see if she could channel. Rashida complied, not believing that she would be able to do so. It was a great shock when the Aes Sedai announced with a smile that she could indeed learn to channel. Rashida was for once taken a back, stammering all sorts of protests and denials.

 

 

 

None the less, it was a fact that could not be changed, and in usual Tairen custom Rashida was whisked away to the White Tower with the party of Aes Sedai as soon as they left. Her parents were very troubled, but not heartbroken.

 

 

 

Rashida, trying to accept her fate that had been so suddenly and unexpectedly set on her, braced herself for what was to come - A life completely unknown to her, the life of an Aes Sedai.
