All right, my dead peeps...I know what the Pilot Dead think of Verbal's claim of lynchproofness...Songstress, can you be brave and post in that nasty QT for me and tell me what you think? XD

 

Tina, I never acknowledged that you answered my question...thanks! It helped. If you have any thoughts, such as whether or not you believe Verbal, I'd appreciate it! Chemists...I value your input too. If you're still reading along. What do you think?

I didn't ever trust verbal, you think I really told him the truth about shooting again? We were the only two minus songstress on the tophat qt until the night I was converted.

Hmm, at the Chemists, I think you have really good points--the only thing I want to say here is just that Verbal was shot AT LEAST twice, and he's still alive, so he's probably not an automaton, at least.

As inadequate as having this role makes me feel, and this responsibility...I've actually been having a blast. Just want to say that. I think this game has taught me a LOT about mafia, and it's been so fun to try and figure out what's going on, and what to do...even though I got really stressed and dejected a few times. So, in advance, before the game even ends or before I die, whichever comes first, this has been awesome.

 

BUT, to Razen and Ithi, I DO envy you guys a bit, at this point.

@GMG--I've pretty much decided on that course of action, I just wanted to see what other people think first. You never know what someone might come up with. XD

 

And maybe I just feel insecure about my decision and I'm looking for some sort of validation.

Verbal

An assassin levels their weapon at a man hurriedly walking down the way. The multi ringed barrel appears steady in the cross-hairs. The assassin takes in a breath, lets half of it out, and gently squeezes the trigger. The report from the shot echoes throughout the city. The shot takes the man dead in the chest, pitching him down into the concrete.

Satisfied, the assassin moves to make a quiet escape. Coughing turns theirhead, and they see the man standing, gasping for air, and pulling a brass plate out from under his jacket. The man curses, and stumbles away out of breath, but little worse for the wear.

The last bolts of electricity needed to bring the automaton to life sizzle through its body. The robot rises, a perfect replica of the body it has taken after. The poor soul it replaces lay in a heap on the floor.

Tiny clicking noises seems odd to Song as she dozes fitfully in a rocking chair. She is weary, as are most of the denizens of New Coronado, but the burn of the first bite brings her into instant awareness. She starts, shocked to see a myriad of spiders climbing the inside and outside of her skirts. She leaps up. swatting at the golden spiders, but feeling multiple bites take her on the legs. The poison burns, and she is loosing feeling in her limbs now.

She moves to sweep another spider from her, but loses her balance and falls, spilling across the floor. She struggles to rise, but it is no use and the sight of even more of the tiny beasts crawling toward her is more than she can take...

SONG, TOWN COP, HAS BEEN EATEN TO DEATH BY SPIDERS. HEH

The sun rises, but once again it is a dirty light, faded, the same as any hope that the town has left.

 

First one. I shot at him after I was an automaton.

@Leelou--well, if no one else claims the kill, I'll believe you, I suppose. It's too bad I can't have your vote with me on this, though.

Oh believe me, you've seen my QT. I want him dead.

Pale, you're an idiot, but nice try. Tina told me when she submitted her kill--it was on March 9th. Kae was still alive. Ithi was still alive. Song was most definitely still alive. Judging based on the time Tina submitted her shot, this is Tina's scene:

 

 

Discord sows distrust, and distrust further worries the edges of frayed relationships. Threads are pulled and plans unravel, no matter who made them or for what reason.

A gun is pulled from its holster.

If necessity is the mother of invention, then worry must be a distant relative. When the thread of worry is pulled, must it unravel to become necessity?

At least one of you believes it to be so, and thus the invention of killing is born unto their mind.

The shot rings out, striking into the crowd. A cry is heard, but the bustle of people taking cover makes it impossible to see who is hit. It takes a moment for the confusion to settle, and when it is finally clear, all that is left is a brass plate upon the ground with a bullet embedded into its center.

The shooter walks away frustrated and having wasted the shot, cursing.

The shadow of the airship passes over the scene.

So, I am far too lazy to go back and look for all the scenes, but do you think Verbal's brass plate is always the same one? He did drop one on the ground in Tina's scene, and I'm just wondering if maybe Verbal's unNKableness isn't permanent. Not that anything anyone says here on the thread or in the Tophat QT matters (except for Songstress's input, if she has any), but I'm just wondering aloud here.

The third time was when you tried to kill him the first time. I was hoping that would have worked. When it didn't the next night phase I asked for Ape to jail him.
