P.S. ... So this scene in TDR and that early scene in The Eyes Of The World with the guy named Narg are the only times we ever hear a Trolloc or Myrddraal speak. Interesting.

The Padan Fain scene where he nailed the Myrddraal to the door was incredibly creepy, yet strangely fascinating. It definitely gave me the chills. I've often wondered why we haven't seen more of them speaking.

Mydraal speak often enough. They were calling Isam's name during the battle of the Two Rivers, for example.

 

As for trollocs, I seem to recall Ituralde in ToM remarking that wolf muzzled trollocs were capable of a limited form of speech, so it's not just Narg.

We hear a Myrddraal speak at the Stag and Lion, TEotW Ch. 17, we know a Myrddraal spoke at Whitebridge and again at Carysford in TEotW Ch. 26 and 34, Fain talks about Myrddraal talking to him and giving him orders in Ch. 47, the Myrddraal in TGH Prologue also speaks (it's mostly assumed this is also Shadar Haran's early version), the Myrddraal write the Dark Prophecy on the wall of Fain's cell in Ch. 6, Fain again talks about the Myrddraal trying to give orders in TGH Ch 11, The Fades in TDR Ch 39 who try to buy Egwene, Elayne, and Nynaeve talk, a Fade confronts Mat during the attack on the Stone of Tear and talks to him in TSR 13, Fain makes a Fade talk in TSR 31, a Fade claims to have killed Faile in TSR 40, a bunch of Fades yell and talk in TSR 56, Fades give orders during the attack on the Manor in KoD 19. So it's not rare at all for Fades to talk.

 

The only times we hear Trollocs speak are Narg in TEotW Ch 5, them screaming ISAM! during the Battle of the Two Rivers in TSR Ch 56, and then in ToM where we learn what GYLD said.
