So I come to the center of knowledge in the shadow of DM to pursue a query of importance.

A friend of my mine whom believes sherbet is carcinogenic has been so bold as to lay a wager on his position. As the keepers of the library I was wondering if the brown Ajah would mind overly much if I asked them to provide me with a definitive answer on the matter. Preferably with a link to resources.

What is sherbet? Sherbet (powder), an effervescent drink or a fizzy powder sweet, chiefly UK or Sherbet, an American term for a frozen dessert like sorbet, but containing a small amount of dairy or something else?

*needs to know in order to do the research*

I wonder if those in the UK commonly mispronounce it as "sherbert", much like so many Americans do. Including myself, despite the fact that I know how it should be said on an intellectual level, my mouth insists on saying it the wrong way because that's how I learned it as a kid.

Sherbert as is the powdery substance that is sweet (sometimes sour). It is a kind of sweet/lolly/candy here.

So I the former definition listed by Raena.

A common brand name for it is 'Wizz-Fizz' if that helps.
