Kivs, I rather liked your first. The one that MADE you, among others.

Yeah. But you have to understand what I did in the Princess Bride game. I had a role that let me pass notes to players. All it did was let me tell them things. BUt I passed notes saying "You must do X" and convinced people that if they didn't follow the notes they'd be modkilled. Then - when scum+cult outnumbered the town - passed a scum player a note saying "you must vote for Verbal" (who was the cult leader), then followed it up by making her vote for summates until the town outnumbered the scum and won. Pure win, since they didn't have to do what I said at all.

That first game was nice, and the Gambit's what I got known for. But Princess Bride was my finest hour, IMO.

(I'll be right back. I need to go get some ice for my shoulder. Patting yourself on the back too much is hazardous)

This is the game with the most replies on this forum: just over 2200. My Shadow Over Fiddlesmouth game had 2000. Next biggest has 1500.

I'm counting on this game dwarfing them all.

Not even a question. We've had games on JN with half as many people as this that have nearly doubled those post counts. Up until Pac's scarface game which just put up ridiculous post counts, I remember every game I modded was breaking the post count records set by my prior games. What can I say, we all like to hear ourselves talk (or see ourselves post... whatever).

TL;DR

Yeah I made my post before that John Lennon one went up. This board needs a feature that warns us when new posts go up while we're typing up our own.

You should totally talk to an admin about that. >_>

We used to get 80 pages with 10 people. Then people started whining... and in one of the last games I played, they b*tched about 80 pages for 20+ people... So sad.

Also, unvote; vote JF80 for dropping the F bomb on a pg-13 forum. ;) Also, Spiderman sucks.

What sort of kids are hung up on this fantasy stuff that the board needs to be PG-13? And what can we do to help them?

And get used to Spider-man. You'll be seeing a lot of him.

I'll hold down the fort until Vic gets here...

Kivam gambit- with you, Far and DPR.

Kivy, I see. I must agree that your lawyerly arguments can be persuasive, so it was probably very amusing on your end. Plus, a town win is a great thing to brag about.

Wasn't Talya the other half of the original gambit?

Hello - I'm new here and new to playing mafia. I'm a friend of Kivam's and he said that I need to join this crazy game that he set up because I'm super analytical, I love riddles and things like that and I really like this show. Kivam thinks I'll be good and that my personality is a good fit with some of the veterans. So I hope I meet some friends along the way.

I was told in the simplest form, to look for suspicioius activity and then vote for that person. Seems like there isnt really anything happening here too note worthy, but the JF80 guy voted for someone that I didnt see on the list of players. Is that normal? Does that deserve a vote?

Yes, and Kivam strung me along on his evil "I'm innocent and your BFF whilst I slowly kill all the people around you."

OK, enough memory lane, back to the game, peeps!

Perhaps the reason the games I mod are typically so much longer than the ones I play are because there's nobody in the game combining the content of twelve posts into one long rambling post.

Oh, and rule 14.

I'm sure you said something there, but all I got was "blahblahblah".

Love you too, Kivs.

BooBoo, depends if they are known by another name. That can be hella confusing. Big thing about Day 1 is that you know nothing, so you have to get out there and make nothing into something. Generally this is done by BSing and by eventually killing someone. Sometimes you get lucky and stumble on something real. This crowd is too experienced in general to be cowed by a day one vote until it gets close to the wire, so a vote for no reason will mean almost nothing right now. So, really, take a stab in the dark for now, and you'll catch on as we go.

Heh. We can enjoy each other's company then. I like to do that.

Umm....you meant the long rambling post, right?

Right?

>_>

That, plus the all around fantastic town play after we dug ourselves an early hole makes it my favorite game.

Hey Verbal, nice to meet you. No disguise. Totally new to the site and game.

p.s. - I really like your Avatar. I need to figure one out for my profile. I really like music, so I'll probably pick my favorite band or something like that. Stay tuned......:-)

If BooBoo were Sira, I may as well go stick my head in the oven now, because I'm going to lose my marbles with Alys and Sira and (gods save me from Cromwell) thedude playing in the game with me.

Yeah...that is all. :P

Actually, I think thedude's Cromwell move is one of the most entertaining parts of a game I've ever seen. Wish I had the imagination to have thought of that...
