Hey all.

I fell in love with these books almost 10 years ago, and was absolutely devastated when I found out the legend behind them passed away.

Call me sad, but I actually had a lump in my throat when I read about it online! But I know I probably wasn't the only fan who did so.

When I heard that some one else had been chosen to complete this amazing saga, I was optimistic but also a little biased that they wouldn't be able to deliver the amazing detail and drama that Mr Jordan could create with his words.

Was I wrong or what!?

Brandon Sanderson has been true to the storyline, characters and aura that Jordan created, and dare I say it...? Slightly better at keeping the dialogue going. Dont get me wrong, Jordan's descriptive words and passionate detail to the smallest blade of grass is amazing and one of a kind, never will there be an author of the like, but I couldn't help but be excited and shocked after I finished the first three chapters of The Gathering Storm, after finding there seemed to be so much more chat and a little less 360 degree view of each scene.

But enough about that before I dig myself a deeper hole! :)

I had to re-read the books from the beginning after my partner bought me a whole stack of new books for Christmas and when I saw he had Book Twelve, which, by the way, I had been waiting for, for what seemed and age, I realised I had to re-live every moment again so I could get myself prepared for the beginning of the end.

It seems to have taken me forever, due to having a 2 year old who craves attention every second of the day and a body which gives in to sleep way to easily after a day at work!

But I am slowly getting there!

I am currently on Chapter 40 "The Tower Shakes" of The Gathering Storm which I will be continuing to read as soon as I finish writing this introduction! It's like watching your favourite TV series that just gets better with the end of each episode, each episode being each chapter.

I find myself saying "I'll just read 1 chapter tonight and go to sleep." And end up reading at least 3 and realising it's 1am! I have to be up at 5.30am! Haha!

What I guess I'm saying is, I absolutely adore these books and will be so sad when they end, but also very fulfilled. I have every belief that Brandon will deliver the perfect ending we have all been waiting for!

I hope I haven't bored you too much with my ramblings and look forward to being a part of this amazing fanbase now and forever.

Remember,

One Day We All Wake From The Dream.

Hi Midnight Prancer!

Welcome to Dragonmount! I have to say that I'm a bit of a Sanderson fangirl and I like the books he wrote even more than Jordan's >.> But I did have an amazing opportunity to tour RJ's house and I have to say it was emotional even for me. I need to bug my brother to upload the pics we took so I can share them! I actually sat in the chair he sat in to write the books! (I am a bit addicted to exclamation points, I admit, but I'm working on it...promise!) Have you read any other Sanderson novels? I have stayed up late to read novels too, sometimes crouched in the bathroom so I wont bother anyone else because I have to finish the book that night. In fact I'm up really late for me because I was having fun posting on these forums! I really hope you stay and enjoy the site. I know it can be a bit overwhelming with all the choices but if you start small I know you'll find not only great people but a really fun place to be. If you have any questions or just want to chat, feel free to pm me! I have a 2.5 year old niece I live with so I totally understand the 2-year old kid thing. (I also live with my two nephews, 16 months and 1 month). It can be difficult to get on I know but we'd love to see you whenever you get the chance!

Welcome to DM MP... I'm not afraid to tell you - i bawled like a baby when i read that RJ had passed away but i am absolutely stoked with BS, he has remained true to the feel of WoT but made it his own at the same time.
