Dragons and war

Did anyone though what impact they going to have?

Seems kind of funny actually, on one side one can put them on top of Dragonmount, or Seanchan continent, prepare and in last moment open gate and shoot, let say modest 50 dragons in Egwene/Elayne face (yep, hate this two)- nightmare for wardens :), on the other one can open gate and just chanelling a bit of fire will wipe out entire artillery plus half of the army, or castle walls, if someone cleverly place them there.

It's something that has been frequently mentioned on the boards, namely new and creative ways to use gateways to do things, but not something that really seems to have occurred to most of the characters in the books. Perhaps because most of the super creative and innovative military strategists aren't channelers and don't really think too much about it. It's like thinking outside the box when you've been told there is a box but you don't know what shape it is, how to open it, or what could be inside it. Bad analogy but I'm kind of tired.

Wouldn't work. It takes a wagon to house a single dragon. You couldn't make a gateway for 10 of them to shoot through let alone 50. If you had the channelers to link and make a gateway big enough for say three to shoot through, those channelers could be better used fireballing the army and healing etc.

Now, if you had access to Bloodknives and gateways that would be a bit more devastating and interesting - gate 10 bloodknives straight into the enemy command tent and enjoy the carnage.

Honestly we can think of a lot of things they can't, simply because we have seen every super power X10. Such as a favorite of mine would be to super concentrate the air at one spot and then create a tiny wick of fire. Say hello to the explosion for me (it would be more effective if you could separate out the oxygen which is presumably possible, but I cannot be sure).

Or you could create walls of air or earth to box in the enemy, then unleash an explosion of some sort in their midst, the box would amplify the effect and make it much deadlier. Or you could simply raise walls of earth to block the enemy out, while at the same time weakening the earth below them (draw the earth from underneath them). Then simply apply a force through something, a strong weave of air would probably work, and the entire enemy army falls into a massive sinkhole. Or hide somewhere where you cannot be seen, pre-weave hundreds of gateways, then use them one at a time to cause havoc behind the enemies lines. Of course you then have to dismiss the gateway before they get through, and hide your own channeling so they can't figure out where you are.

Basically, the characters have let themselves be contained by a box on their imagination, the OP can, like TAR, do almost anything. The question is simply how.

(On that note i wonder if someone with a strong enough mental image could take on someone like Slayer in TAR without a fight. Simply turn the entire landscape except where you are standing into a field to boiling lava. Then all you would have to do is make sure your opponent is distracted for an instant, and bang they are dead.)
