You're quite correct, Reyn. That's why I said that probably, I should stay low and shut up. But I like posting.

I only claim that I think that my best interest now is to get someone else lynched, and not randomly. I don't know how much that narrows down my role. I thought that only means I'm town, but I might be wrong.

As for being defensive, I did not know I was. I thought I was chatting around, that's all. Which is good, as more posts = more information.

Let's see:

 

1) if I'm scum, I'm getting people to protect me. Won't last very long if, say, the detective views me.

2) if I'm simple townfolk, I actually do need protection from DK (does that stand for day-killing?) AND if the maffia picks me, I'm dying for a good cause (the maffia isn't killing someone with an important role)

3) if I have an important role, what I'm doing is quite risky, but it still depends on my role (and I can always claim if in trouble, in which case I probably survive the day AND, depending on the game setup, I have a reasonable chance to survive the night)

 

Now how does that make me a lose-lose for town?

In the interests of consolidation, I do need to unvote Arlow. His manners aren't that scummy.

 

Now, as to who to vote for now, I'm mostly leaning toward either csarmi or Tanaus.

 

My reasoning goes like this:

 

1. CS has been talking quite a bit. One of the classic means of distracting a group is to point them where you want them while professing your own innocence.

 

2. Tanaus, on the other hand, has the opposite problem. He checked in and made his vote, and has been silent since then. He seems to be letting his mark do the work for him.

 

I'm gonna keep thinking about this until tomorrow. I'll probably vote in the morning before going home to sleep. If anyone else has any thoughts, I'd love to hear them.

I have gone through this tread again and this time I noticed some things that I missed before. I have a question for Csarmi. Why did you think it was important to let people know you have an important role? Were you thinking that you were in danger of being lynched?

I didn't mean to imply that I have an important role. I was being honest, that's all. Nothing was happening so I figured conversation might help a bit. It seems that I like to talk too much. When I start on a game, I dedicate myself fully. These down-times, lags, while nothing's happening are too much for me, I suppose.

 

Otherwise, I'm just trying to figure out how this online game works, really.

 

As for being a potential target for the maffia, I don't find that a bad thing (see my reasoning above).

 

Does it make sense, or should I elaborate more?

 

Just a note. No matter what my role or alignment is, I would find myself important. That's just how I am.

As for being in danger of getting lynched, I still don't feel I'm in danger, but again, I have no experience on how all that works.

What bugs me is that I have absolutely no idea who is scum and who isn't, or how we shall find a player to kill. With less than a day left.

 

BTW, when I started posting a lot, I thought it was 16 hours left, not 32 hours. Now it occurs me that I had been afraid of something: that no target will be found and random lynch would occur with no information gathered. I thought we were in a hurry. So I started talking a lot more.

With only 48 hours left we have only five votes.

 

There was something posted about 32 hours passed too. For some reason, my mind added it up as if there was only 16h left. (Yea I know, my bad)

At 1:40pm yesterday, there were 26.5 hours left in Day #1, which means that at 1:40pm today, there will be 2.5 hours left, which therefore means Day #1 will end at 4pm Saturday evening.

It is currently 3:44am, meaning there are approximately 12 hours and 15 minutes left in Day #1.

Yes, I understand the timing now. I was confused yesterday. If I read it correctly, day 1 will end for me about 1 hours after midnight. Which really is awkward, but nothing I can do about.

I have to agree with whomever agreed with me :) what good reason did csarmi have for hinting at his role?? Seems really off to me.

 

I know I keep defending him and all, but well, he's my boyfriend and housemate. So I feel obligated to say that Tanaus does not have uber amounts of time to spend online (or hasn't recently). Plus he's new to the amount of activity coming in for mafia. I'm sure he'll grace us with his presence when he finds something to say. So for me, knowing him and his schedule, that does not reek of scum right now.

 

Csarmi does bug me... However I am not for pushing a vote on a potentially important role without some strong thought. And day one is hard for me to justify pushing a vote on anyone, as we have little information as of yet.

Sorry for being the strong silent type, but with sleep and the workings, i haven't had much time to even read all these posts, much less add on to it. I also have to agree with the people say that day one is crap. We point fingers where ever they go and land on a random suspect that may or may not show scummyness. Is that even a real word?? Anyways, i think i'm gonna make tacos for dinner.

I'm not sure about the game setup, but it should be along the lines of 1 cop / 1 doctor / 3 mafia, right? Or do we know nothing of that?
