There is a site somewhere which indexes all of the novels and you can type say Bors and get all of the references to that word in the books. Does anyone know what the name of that site is? I need the site but I forgot what its name was.

There are two things of which you may speak. The most likely id Ideal Seek, and the second most likely is Encyclopaedia WoT.

Check the link at the top of the General Wheel of Time page which says, Forum Rules, Online Resources etc...

It was Ideal Seek, thank you.

Only sometimes. It's quite often very misleading and/or downright wrong. If you're looking for reference tools, click the link in my sig.

if someone were to buy one of those electronic reader things, and buy the e-books, would the text be searchable, or are they stored more like scanned images? please excuse my ignorance, i am an extremely late adopter.

I've never used any other readers, but the Kindle, at least, has a search function.
