I just had a thought about what this part of the Prophesy could mean......

We all know that Rand and Moridin are linked....but how far does that link go......

What if by killing Moridin, Rand destroys half of himself...."Killing" part of himself.....but he himself lives on.....

I was kind of thinking of putting something like that in the "Three become one thread" where lews therin is also eliminated from the picture, and yes, the three becoming one was Moridin, Therin, and Al'Thor, but I wasn't sure if that would be received here as too far fetched.

With the continued emphasis on how difficult it is (was) to carry on after being stilled/burned out (how few survived?), I think Rand has to conciously decide to give up the ability to channel. Possibly even for the entire world. Totally. For good.

If the timeline becomes linear because of Rand's actions, no issue. However, if it remains cyclical, then it might not work as they'll all have to channel again sometime...

I dont think Rand Lews and Moridin are the three become one.

I do agree with the bodyswap theory though. What I think is that Rand and Moridin are merging and over time the time "you" will eventually overlap from Rand into Moridin. I think Rand accessed the True Power not THROUGH his link to Moridin, but because the part that lets Moridin channel it is also in Rand because of the merge. As in, Moridins permission to use it IS Rands permission to use it, and to stop Rand from using it the Dark One has to deny Moridin. So when the Finns say he has to live to die, I think that means Rands body and Moridins soul will die in the conventional sense, but Rands soul and Moridins body will live on.

I was thinking that Rand will die and he will appear in TAR where the other Heroes of the horn reside and he will be Rand al'Thor not LTT/Rand, LTT will be gone forever. When a hero dies and goes into TAR they are the last incarnation of that soul, also his half healed wound will be gone, whats causing his madness will be gone and then the girls can bring him out of TAR back to the real world in a similar way the to the way Birgitte was ripped out by Moghedien and brought back to life by Elayne with bonding.

Similar things were speculated a number of times in the past.

Rand & Moridin do have a sort of bond, but I am not sure about either being part of the other.

Rand also has a warder bond with 4 women; not sure about he being part of them or about they being part of him.

Rand having an actual physical death then somehow becoming resurrected afterward to me seems like the most reasonable & probable interpretation.
