I'm trying to make up for all the years of absolutely not caring about my appearance that I've had. Like, I mean, I cared, but I felt like I was a lost cause so I detached myself from the active caring part and just never did anything with my appearance.

I think it was my sophomore year in high school that I started wearing eyeliner, and that's pretty much the sum of my beauty routine to this day. Too lazy to put on all that stuff like foundation and lip color and whatever else goes on your face if you wear makeup. Plus, mascara doesn't show behind my glasses cos my lashes are fairly dark anyway, and eyeshadow just smears everywhere at the end of the day and itches and it barely shows, too.

Not that I think I need tons of makeup, although it would be nice to learn how to apply it. Mostly I should probably learn the basics because I'm gonna need something when my rosacea gets worse than it already is. My mom has it, and the skin on her face is like...orange. Except her cheeks and nose, which are red. All the time.

Already, when I was in school, I had people come up to me and say "Hey, I think you're wearing a little too much blush today." XD I'd just kind of blink at them for a minute before I realized what they meant, because I never wore blush. I think I can count on one hand the number of times in my life I've ever applied it, for fun or otherwise. XD

I always told them I don't wear blush, but I dunno if they believed me. I could have gone and gotten a cotton ball and some lotion, or other makeup removers, and proved it, though. XD But my cheeks are RED.
