There seems to be a bit of a pattern for any thread where Perrin gets mentioned:

 

1. Original topic thread is introduced. May or may not involve Perrin.

2. Original topic is discussed for six or seven posts.

3. Someone says "Perrin sucks"

4. A whole lot of other people say "Perrin sucks"

5. One or two people say "Perrin's alright, give him a break".

6. Thread is abandoned.

7. Repeat pattern in new thread.

So, it's kind of a WOT version of Godwin's Law. I think we should adapt the tradition, such that anyone who says "Perrin sucks" automatically loses the debate. Whether or not he actually sucks is irrelevant: it's a deterrent thing.

The negative karma thing is not simply Perrin discounting his own ability, it's the whole, "Nothing matters but Faile. NOTHING!"
