I know right? I picked up the first book in June and loved it to bits. I was looking for some form of epic fantasy as I'd read so many of the usual stuff. Terry Prachett, Eragon, etc. I loved this series so much that I got the next book, and the next and before I knew it I was up to book 12 within 6 weeks I read each one in about 3 days. Constant reading almost. The series is just so much more excellent than anything else really I've read. And the story just got better and better, (apart from 7,8 and 9. naturally). But it really picked up for book 10. 11 was absolutely excellent. I got the feeling of a stew that was finally coming to the boil and the aroma being released was only just a taste of what was to come. Then there was book twelve. I don't know if it was BS or RJ's notes but the book was the best of the series imo. The moments in that book were beyond words. Rand's epiphany, Tuon meeting Rand. But what sticks with me the most was Egwene in the tower. She was so awesome but especially her confrontation with Eladia. That was the best scene I'd say I ever read in my life.

 

This forum i only came across a few days ago and during my lurking I've been amazed my the sheer scope of the site. And the Congress of the shadow especially, I've mainly checked them out. I love and have a wicked sense of humour. And the RP in general is amazing. I'm chomping at the teeth to get involved. I've got some ideas that I'm looking forward to developing.

 

So anyway that's my 2 cents. So hi I guess

How about a yellow-eyed, red haired, white cloaked Black Ajah lady-man , who wants to still, damane and kill herself due to mixed confusions. That sounds fun! :D

 

So what do I do? Just walk into the nearest sign in post for the aforementioned factions and sharply announce 'Mr Fahrenheit reporting for duty sah!'? And then get filled in on all the lovlies?

Elend, I totally agree with you. There's no reason why Fahrenheit couldn't do both. The Writer's guild is well known for having a lot of good and helpfull tips and hints for aspiring writers (as a hobby or a profession). And let's face it, the better you help our members hone their skill, the more the RP side benefits from the fruits of that labor. :)

Just feel free to explore every board on DM that holds your interest or even just your curiosity. There is no limit to the number of places you can join in on, though it is generally wise not to join too many at the same time as it can be quite overwhelming. But now that you're here, you have all the time in the world to explore to your heart's content.
