does anyone else have ideas on the actual nature of lini?  how she was nurse maid to elayne, morgase AND morgases mother, as well as fully believing that she will be nurse maid to elaynes children?  there are a few of those "been around for four or five generations and never slowed a bit" characters in the series.  excluding forsaken, since they were sealed up during that time, the options to me are wilders, original aes sedai,(from before the oath rod), or aesedai in hiding, for instance whil far fetched, cadsuane appears exactly at the same time that lini and morgase escape the seanchan in the fortress of light, not saying that is who she is, but some slight possibility.  she also has her own POV's not necessarily the kind of thing a tirtiary, or even a secondary, character has that much.

Are you saying Lini might be a channeler? After living most of her life in the Palace in Caemlyn where Aes Sedai are accepted and none of them ever felt it? No, I don't think so.

 

She is decribed as old, too. Do we know the ages where these women had their daughters? Early, perhaps - Elayne is about 18-19.

If Lini was nurse to Morgase's morther in her teens (not unthinkable) it might be like this:

 

Nurse to Morgase's mother: Lini about 15

Nurse to Morgase: Lini about 35

Nurse to Elayne: Lini about 55

Now: closing on 75.

Indeed Morgase is about forty (she's slowed a tiny bit, according to RJ). So long as Maighdan had Morgase before her 35th birthday (indeed it is unlikely non-channelers would wait that long to have a child. The risks of childbirth past 25 or so in the era were much greater) there is nothing at all weird about Lini having been nurse to her as well.

On the subject of age, how old is Satelle  Anan? We know she was an Aes Sedai, but when, also, could she still live for hundreds of years even though she can no longer touch the source, if she can sustain a will to live for that long?

Martine was raised to the shawl over sixty five, so at the very least she'd be around 90 years old now, and potentially older. The answer to your second question is no--When a woman bound by the Oath Rod is severed she returns to the Age she would have appeared had she aged as a normal slowed channeler. Setalle Anan appears in her sixties, if she had remained slowed in the thirty five years since being burned out she would have had to have been in her five hundreds before being burned out, an impossibility for an Aes Sedai.
