A) That should be obvious from the previous days.

B) New suspects are not going to be added at night.

C) I don't want to lead the town. I'd much rather input from the other players. My instincts can be very wrong. Or rather, I can feel misguided when they are right. Note how DPR manipulated me just enough to make me doubt myself. Note how voting for Anox's poor reasoning felt just wrong enough that I backed off even though I was right.

D) Verbal, please post more with that brilliant mind of yours.

Good Morning.

Pete, a member of the Great Race of Yith and a Survivor, has been killed

With 9 players alive, it takes 5 votes to lynch

Posted

Now that it is day I'll mention something that Alys touched on.  I'm getting more suspicious of Danya.

I'm thinking a double voter gets more and more dangerous the closer to endgame so why would scum keep her alive?  Thoughts anyone?

Otherwise I'm still very suspicious of aemon and will likely vote him again unless something else turns up.  After all there is no rush (see quick vote on day 7).

I still say [glow=red,2,300]Jeran[/glow] is the way to go to eliminate the scum. Pandy made no vote on days 1,2 and 3. On day 4 he voted Barm. Day 5 Jeran takes over and doesn't vote. Day 6 votes Anox (the obvious choice as she was confirmed scum by our finder). Day 7 does an OMGUS vote on me. I really believe he is tha last of them.

Day 7 does an OMGUS vote on me.

I see you finally trotted out that tiresome old term, OMGUS.  Doesn't that mean you lost the argument like in politics when people start comparisons to Hitler?

OMGUS only applies, in my mind, if I give no reason other than "you voted me so, nya."  I gave good reasons against you and Alys (at least) found your reasons to be empty also.  Voting based solely on someone else's voting patterns is not right very often.

Interesting.  From browsing that wiki, I get the following 2 things:

The unique ability of this scientifically-advanced race was to travel through time by swapping minds with creatures of another era. This allowed them to satisfy their interest in human culture, science, and occult beliefs. Occupied beings' minds transferred to Yithian bodies against their will; these "captive minds" were queried by skilled inquisitors while the Yithians using their bodies learned as much as possible about the societies in which they dwelt.

They have no genders

Ok, maybe that last one has nothing to do with the game, but I chuckled anyway.

So Pete, other than being a survivor, likely had some ability to swap minds or something?  Might explain the weird votes before - Pete could be able to take over their vote and/or night action for the phase.  That's how I would have wrote it, but Kivam is much more creative than I, so take that with a bucket of salt.

Particularly these:

The Great Race are beings of enormous intellectual and psychic powers that once dwelt on the dying world of Yith. They escaped the destruction of their home planet by transferring their minds to the bodies of a species native to the Earth in the far distant past.

Although captive minds were prisoners, they were nonetheless granted some freedoms in exchange for their cooperation. Those captive minds who cooperated with the Great Race were allowed to wander the Yithian cities at will and to browse the Yithians' gigantic library, which contained metallic tubes with scrolls that recorded the histories of uncounted alien races, including humanity. Creatures inside a Yithian body could also communicate with other captive minds from across our universe (and beyond). Once the Great Race had learned all they could from a captive mind, the occupied being's intellect was swapped back, with the additional precaution of erasing all knowledge of the Great Race.

Definately does not suck, Tigs. We likely see a culprit. Wonder who killed him.

TL;DR. Your whole case against me is based on null tells which makes me feel certain you are scum.

You said right here that you didn't even read it. You voted me because you didn't like my reason for voting you. That is the definition of OMGUS. My vote stays, as it did yesterday.

EDIT: Interesting concept, Alys.

Reading comprehension, Aemon.

Reading comprehension, Aemon.

Heh, I'm thinking he did it on purpose.  Aemon, you didn't even quote the whole post from Jeran, which should have put that line into perspective for you.  That line translates as:  "If you don't feel like reading the stuff I just said, this one line sums my point up."

The fact that you quoted only that sentence makes me think you are trying to throw suspicion on him.

Posted

Of course I am throwwing suspicion on him, Verbal. I want to lynch him today. My understanding of TL;DR is "too long, didn't read" as in "your post was just a wall of text so I decided it would be a waste of my time and I'm just going to post whatever I feel like posting".

Posted

From the sound of it, I thought it was an innocent role  :-[

You really seem like you are onto something Alys...I would like to know if Pookie is still under PR also!

Posted

Aemon, no one had to read your whole post that he was talking about to get the point. You stated it right off.

The whole post was not directed at you, Aemon, hence the reason your name was at the bottom, not the top or the beginning of where I started typing. Verbal quoted different parts, so I wanted to explain why I chose the ones I did.

I wanted to ask if the consensous is that Pete was pro town, pro mafia or somewhere in between. Also, those of you who had PRs, were you required to share any info through mod proxy (not so likely)? I am wondering if Pete got certain info that he was then able to act on- with or without the players' help. It is possible that with intell sharing he would have been able to find the vessel (probably just wishful thinking).

After that, I think I am going to sit back and watch the rest play out for a bit because, as I said, I am questioning myself atm.

Posted

Yes Verb & Alys - the TL;DR at the end of my post was for those who didn't want to read the whole post so took the easy way out by reading the summary.

I think I got that from Verbal in this very game.

Posted

And another thing...I would have thought it perfectly obvious I did read aemon's posts because I countered all of his arguments.  You can't do that if you haven't read the posts.

Posted

I'd still like to know how lurking is a "null tell". Just because you lurk when you are innocent doesn't mean you don't lurk when you're scum. Just because pandy had to drop out of the game does not automatically make him an innocent. I still say your scum and I'll do everything I can to hang you today. Have no fear, though. I am completely aware that nobody else believes I'm innocent, so you are actually pretty safe. Just know that I will voting you until 1) you hang 2) the game ends.
