How about you go along with your own admission of a standard game and not ignore the fact that you and Pete have both posted codes.  There is no PR-giver role.  You are mafia.  Please explain that.  You just brushed it aside before, what now?  Pete's only move was to do what he did, so what about you?  Standard game means no PR giving.

I knew this would happen guys, and for the record I have had this same exact role before, given to me half way through the game and I got lynched for revealing then also.  It was the Julius Ceasar game.

 

I will give the results, I sent in DPR and it came back that he was anti-town.  I don't know how that helps at all because it could be correct, but then again it couldn't be.

 

Why haven't you guys asked Aemon for his results?  Oh I know why, because his "role" conveniently can either get results or not.  If he goes the rest of the game without giving any results then everyone will just blow it off because hey, he only has a 50/50 chance.  When you guys lynch me, it will probably be end game because we are running short on town.  I wish that you guys could believe that I wouldn't be this stupid.  So I will ask the question that all of you should have asked before.  Aemon even if you didn't get results, who did you send in?

Trust me, I didn't miss any questions.  Before you go on the attack, you really should check your facts.

 

Last night I checked Verbal and unfortunately, got zip. Nada. Zilch. It's obvious that Tigs just wanted to draw me out, but, as even she stated, we can't afford to mislynch today. I am hoping that Verbal really is the healer, because if not, I'll be making my BLAH post in the morning. For all of the reasons above, I vote [glow=red,2,300]Tigraine[/glow].

Sorry for the double post, but I want to reiterate why I am after DPR today.  He's clearly mafia.  He posted a code.  Only the mafia have the codes.  As a standard game, which he has admitted to and now used in his accusations against me, there would likely be no PR-giver.  Again, the mafia have the codes.  I simply do not understand why we are allowing this to be pushed under the rug time and again.  :-\

 

That being said, I will defer to the town majority on whether to go after Tigs instead of DPR.  I'm still waiting for Aust and player to hop on and chime in, at which point I'll make my decision, unless they both come and finish the lynch on Tigs.

Verb, you are flailing - you look like your team got overconfident, tried to work a plan, and now it's backfiring.

 

No pro-town player would ever vote a suspected player over a known mafia. Ever.

 

You are also stuck on this code thing - I've said that I suspect the mafia have the codes and are using them to frame townies (which means that their are no separate PR givers as you would have us believe...) but I don't know for sure that Red isn't giving them out.

 

Anyway, you're entire "Standard Game" argument is what I said - but you twist it to focus on PR's, and don't vote for the person that it points straight at!

 

I'm betting that your third is cleverly hidden - maybe Piano or Aust - we'll see. But the important thing is to vote for the known mafia so that we can see.

 

Tigs - You should have totally picked someone else to claim you "found". If anyone was surprised at your findings, they haven't been paying very close attention to the game. heh

A known mafia?  Where?  Both Tigs and Aemon are pointing the fingers at each other, both claiming 2 different versions of the same role.  How does the standard game argument point at Tigs over Aemon?  Btw, I totally think Tigs is mafia (I posted that), but I'm just having too much fun blocking your desperate swings.

 

Mafia using codes to frame townies?  That implies a game mechanic Wes, and this is a standard game!  You are contradicting yourself!  Make up your mind - is it a role or a game mechanic?  NEITHER work within the framework of a standard mafia game.

Alright - I think it is important to focus on what we have in front of us. Tigraine, there seemed to be a disconnect between your first post talking about how weird and useless your role is, and the second post talking about how it is not all that out of the ordinary. That was the one discrepancy I could see, and it is what I'm going to base my vote on.

I have to admit feeling pretty outclassed in this game! Just when I think I've been clever I realize I've blundered in a big way - referring of course to re-voting on you Verbal. And your point is  taken about not assuming DPR to be innocent - I have to admit I was too naive to consider that. But right now I think we need to focus on what is in front of us - and that is the Tigraine/Aemon claim.

Aust- I never said that this was an ordinary role.  I said that I have had this role before.  I do think it is useless and it obviously gets you lynched.  That's why in the post that I revealed in I was telling Red that I was mad at her.  Not only is it a useless role, I think it hurts the town more than it helps.  With results only being 50/50, I think it gets the town to think about results that are useless. 

 

Now, I'm pretty sure that's the game for the mafia.  It was a good call getting Aemon to counterclaim that role guys.  I should have thought that you would do that.  I shouldn't have even revealed.  Next time I know!  It was fun guys!

Please listen to me.  The OP doesn't specify a clinched lynch upon a hammer - unvote now and let's just lynch Wes.  That is, in my opinion, the only sure fire lynch we have.  And he's not even being town-like and defending himself - he's simply just counterattacking me.

 

For what it's worth, I'd love to know why a single townie hasn't brought any sort of argument up regarding the codes that DPR and Pete have now posted.  :-\

Okay, first off I want to say I'm sorry.  It wasn't my annoyance at this game that caused me to do that it is some real life issues that I am dealing with.  I am sorry because no matter what is going on in RL it is not fair to you all just because I can't deal with issues.  If Red allows no unvoting after the hammer then I truly am sorry.  I think that I will get voted by someone else anyway so that doesn't really matter but I don't want my voting for myself being the reason that the game is over either way. 

 

Even if I do get to stay in the game if you guys want then I will get Red to find someone to take my place for being so childish.  I hope that nobody gets upset with me because I enjoy playing with each and every one of you.  This has been a great game and I don't want my behavior to ruin it for everyone. Once more I am sorry.

You want to know what my biggest fear is? That Verbal and DPR are both mafia and manipulating us - let me be clear I don't have evidence to substantiate this so it's not an accusation - just a fear! You're both incredibly clever, and the thought that all of this might be an elaborate manipulation from the two of you is just terrifying - and it is quite difficult to decide between the two of you.  :o

 

Tigraine - think nothing of it - I think you're just way too nice to come across as being childish or mean ;) . That said, I'm letting my vote on you hold right now. No one has said anything that makes me think you may be innocent. The other thing to consider here is that - even if we did decide to go another direction with the lynch, I'm afraid that on this short notice we wouldn't get everyone checking back in time to revote, and we'd simply lose the lynch.

You found that the Nurses wrist was more than just a reassuring presence, you now knew of one other person in this room who wasn’t behind the strange murders that took place when the lights flickered off; and like wise, she could now vogue for your innocence, and you could vogue for hers.  The thought of having an alliance in this situation lightened the heavy shadow falling over you and gave you hope that maybe, just maybe you would survive this after all.

 

The Thug was still standing in the same spot as before the lights went out, he wrenched his eyes away from Ed’s body and looked directly at you; you met his murderous gaze with a defiant look of your own, tilting your chin up slightly to show you wouldn’t go without a fight.  The Nurse spoke up in your defense as she saw what was about to happen.

 

“Now wait right there; we’re all scared, but both him and I were here the entire time.  Your hasty decisions will only lead us to more death, so you just take a few deep breaths and pull yourself together sonny.”

 

A timid, yet homely looking woman spoke up, everyone looked at her; her face was ghost white as if she had witnessed something part of her worst nightmares, and her voice was as shaky as the hand she used to point out a confident and slick looking man.  “He’s one of em; I saw him, in the glow of the TV, he killed Ed!” The man gave a nonchalant shrug, a soothing type smile on his lips; his voice was manipulative and silky smooth.  Something about this man sent a shiver down your spine, though you didn’t know what it was.

 

“Now, Miss; why would you want to throw accusations like that at poor old Charles.  I’m just as scared as you from these unfortunate events, but accusing me of such a thing is a very dangerous thing; it was dark, how can you be sure of what you saw?” The woman seemed to gather some strength from within, though her voice still shook slightly, the color had begun to return to her face.   “My name is Peggy, not miss; and I know what I saw, I’m certain of it.”

 

A dangerous glint flashed in his eyes briefly, so brief that you were unsure you had even seen it, yet Peggy took an unconscious step backward and hugged herself in a guarded fashion.  A tall blond standing near Charles flipped her hair over her shoulder and spoke in an annoyed tone.

 

“I was standing by Charles the entire time, he didn’t move; you on the other hand, the only reason why you would lie is to cover up something, so I say you’re the one who must be responsible.” Charles gave the Blond a charming and charismatic smile; the Blond however gave him a disgusted look and took a step away from him, moving more toward Peggy.  Charles shrugged, returning his gaze back to Peggy, who was bristling with anger at not only being called a liar but also of being accused of the murders.

 

“I most certainly am not!”  The Blond rolled her eyes at Peggy and began twirling a piece of her long hair in between two fingers.  “Sure sweetheart, that’s what they all say.”  Peggy lost her temper and lunged at the Blond; a fight ensued as both of the women rolled on the ground hitting, kicking, scratching and pulling each others hair.  Charles backed out of the way, a grin of interested approval on his face as he watched the cat fight; everyone else stared in uncertainty as the fight progressed around the room. 

 

Peggy and the Blond were near Jeran’s body before the Nurse could break them apart.  The Blond had a look of indignation on her face as she began to compose herself, breathing heavily from the fight.  Peggy on the other hand stumbled backward, clutching at her chest, as she fell against the wall she looked down at the knife sticking out of her chest in confusion.  The Nurse rushed over the Peggy’s side as she began to cough up blood, her chest heaving and unable to draw in air.  The Blond glared at Peggy with no sympathy, sniffing indignantly.  “The bitch deserves it for jumping me.” 

 

A look of disbelief is on your face as you stare at the Blond, you hear the Nurse heave a heavy sigh.  “She’s dead, the knife pierced her lung and there’s nothing I could have done to save her.”  You wrench your stare from the Blond and watch as the Nurse sadly uses two fingers to gently close Peggy’s now lifeless eyes.

Aust, I think it's obvious now that I was right about DPR and Pete.  Pete just came in and hammered, which proves he's mafia....no townie would have done that after her explanation.

 

And Aust....why didn't you unvote and spare Tigs.  We would have won this game if the town listened to me and voted DPR.  I even gave concrete support:  THE F^*$^*$^* CODES!!!!!  I'm not letting this go, and I know DPR is having a laugh about this.

 

Another thing - when in doubt on a lynch between 2 potential Finders - LYNCH NEITHER.

 

When making votes and unvotes at endgame, you have to think and act logically.  The logical thing to do was not trust either Tigs or Aemon.  I felt a mafia false reveal up front was coming, so that's why I thought Tigs over Aemon for mafia.  However, I mentioned maybe 100 times that I was sure about DPR and Pete.  They both just proved themselves mafia.  Why can't people see this?  Tell me how my logic is flawed regarding the codes, and I'll make sure to improve that going forward.

 

As it is, if I guess right tonight, the town wins.  Otherwise, the mafia wins.  If by chance I do guess right, for the love of all things - VOTE DPR, then Pete, then Aemon.
