Issues with The Dragon Reborn Audio CD

I am having issues with the Dragon Reborn audio CD.

Of course, I have the unabridged version read by Michael Kramer and Kate Reading. But the tracks are all messed up.

Disc 4 has Chapter 7, parts A and B and then goes into Ch. 8 & 9. Disc 5 has Ch. 7 Parts J thru O and then goes on to Ch. 11.

Disc 15 starts with Ch., 37; track 2 lists it is Ch. 39.

I wish these CDs were consistent in naming conventions, and correct in title. Does anyone have a correct track list?

Dude, I feel your pain.

Every one of the Reading/Kramer audio books from WoT that I have listened to had issues... like...

1) Some CDs listed as the artist being Robert Jordan, some were Rober Jordan, some were "Kate Reading and Michael Kramer," and some were the name of the book, and all of this could have been within one audio book, from disc to disc

2) Some used "disc," others used "disk" (again, within 1 audio book)

3) Some had the book name in the file name, others just had "Track x," others had "Chapter x - part x"

4) and some were just out of order like you talked about

It really makes it difficult to move to a portable player.

A solution could be to rip the files to your PC and rename them in a way that holds them in order when moved to your portable device?

My copies of the audiobooks have 1 mp3 file to 1 chapter and are named by chapter number and title, that makes it much easier to work out where i am up to.

If you return it to the seller, you might get either another copy or cash equivalent.  Some sellers might ask for a receipt.

The messed up tracks might have been caused by a problem during recording.  A different CD might have correct order.

Transferring the tracks to computer would probably be allowed if it is for only your own use and not anybody else's use.

A number of CD players have a 'program' button which lets the user decide the order which the tracks get played.  Some computer programs might have something similar to this (for when just playing the CD and not transferring tracks); though I am not sure.

Not sure if such a feature would work with multiple CDs (if player/computer could hold multiple disks at once).

Editing a track isn't a problem. I blew through the 286 tracks of Eye of the World just to give them a consistent naming scheme. Yes, some had Robert Jordan as artist, others had Kate and Michael. Some had The Eye of the World as the album title and others had The Wheel of Time 1: The Eye of the World or The Eye of the World (Disc 17). All of these inconsistencies are annoying at their least.

The ones that bug me are like The Dragon Reborn CD where Disc 4 has Chapters 7, 8,and 9 according to their names. Then Disc 5 has Chapters 7, and 11. I work in a business where I do a lot of quality control and editing and this sort of stuff bugs me. So I wanted to see if anyone else had done up a corrected track list somewhere. If not, I will have to listen to the book and make notes when tracks aren't what they say they are. I may even have to follow along with the real book to make sure it is all in its right place.

A for other CDs, I went and snagged the library copy of the Dragon Reborn Audio CD and it too has the same screwy and incorrect names. I think its on the master discs.

My solution to this problem was to rip each whole disc as one track instead of doing the regular ripping 12/13 tracks from each CD. A whole lot less tracks to rename. I had to ask around but I found a program, called CDex, that could do this. Best part is the program is free.
