We're All Kin Here! (Welcome from the Kin Org!)

Hello all! We are being given the chance to show off a little of what being a Kinster means around here, so I hope you're prepared! *smiles*

 

I'm Loraine, the Eldest of the Kin Org of Dragonmount. That means I get to brag because my Kinsters are the best little group of people here (and yes, I'm partial!). We do a lot of really cool things during the year and we're going to share a few of those things with you this month. There's more to be seen and fun to be had down in our Org forums, though. Feel free to wander down and hang out any time you like! We're a very open group of folks and we like it when people come to visit!

Some of the things you'll see during the year are:

January- Resolutions. We don’t just make them, we support each other in seeing them through all year!

February- Valentine Exchanges, Random Acts of Kindness Day and National Library Month.

March- Irish Days and the Arts & Crafts Exchange, which is one of our biggest and most impressive exchanges all year!

April- Spring Things Exchange and the Seed/Bulb Swap

May- Postcard Swap, Kin Conception Month (no, not THAT kind of conception! *pokes*) This is the celebration of the month the Kin was conceived in the hearts of its founders!

June- Candy Exchange for National Candy Month, Friendship bracelets and the Kin’s birthday (We’ll be 5 this year!)

July- The Gleeman’s Tale, which is a story telling extravaganza celebrating short story month!

August- Book Swaps and Back to School Month

September- Disaster Relief Efforts

October- Halloween! We do Halloween up big in the Kin!

November- NaNo Support Month, and the Month of Giving Thanks

December- Christmas Card Swap, Secret Kinta Exchange, and Holidays Around the World

Hello all! I'm Torrie and I have been addicted to the Kin for almost a year now. Wow! Almost a year?!!! Is that right? **Counts fingers and then takes off her Twinny socks to count her toes** Yup. Almost a year.

 

The Kin was the first Org that I joined and was the best welcome I have ever received. I got socks and seeds and games and toys and friends. The friends being the most important part.

 

The no drama rule is that best thing ever invented! **Hugs Lor**

 

Come and join us. The January activities are up and going and it looks like this year will be even more fun than last year!

Lor: Why, it's doing great, U4ea! We're a little quiet at the moment, but that's pretty normal for January. It's why we keep it light this month!

 

U4ea: Really? Is everyone that focused on those New Year's Resolutions?

 

Lor: I believe so, yeah. Some of them take a lot of thought, after all!

 

U4ea: Are you sure it's not just Frenchie asking about Orange Sashes?

 

Lor: Yeah. We're used to him being silly and asking for things he knows he's never going to get.

 

U4ea: Seriously. Why orange, anyway?

 

Lor: Sorry, me, but I have no idea why he's addicted to orange so much. you'll just have to ask him for yourself.

 

U4ea: No, thanks. I'm a little afraid of the answer.
