One of my sons has been a big fan for many years and finally got the rest of us to take a look at the series. In fact my youngest son (I have four), used to give us a hard time when we would discuss things from the series, but after working with his father on a job and listening to one of the audiobooks, he's now working his way through them and joins in on the discussions.

 

I've been a fan of the books for a while, but I was also a fan (and moderator) for another book series forum. While we have a WoT thread there, I couldn't invest a lot of time with another forum, but that series is completed now so I bit the bullet and joined here.

Wow, it must be quite something to have the whole family into the WoT!

 

There's a lot more to DM than just discussing the books. You might like to check out the roleplaying divisions and the organisations, which are basically social groups loosely based on the books.  :)

Thanks for the kind welcome everyone! And yes, Winterwinds, Voyager was my inspiration. I've been a Star Trek fan since it first aired. (Gads, it can't really have been that long ago!)
