Revealing roles = bad idea.  Yes, let's let whoever won the mission be the prime target for mafia and/or cult. ::) <<< do realized this smiley is gonna be used alot now... since it's dislike was expressed. :P

reveling roles = bad idea  - true, if you have that role permenantly.  however since its only for 24 hours, after the mission, or the night, if you dont use it during the day, then after this, role revealing is GOOD. i.e. more information for us to work with. the only downside to this is that if mafia or zombies (since any can get the role) they might feed us false info , but that can also be good, if we can catch them out.

I agree with loki on this.

Am i right in thinking that the people chosen for the mission can't vote until the mission is finished?

That is correct. Though you can vote before the mission begins. Tonight, the mission will start at 8 pm Miami time. You can vote until then. When the mission starts, I will announce whether it will take 24 or 48 hours, and you may not vote over that time.

I think it's best if we don't talk about roles you gain unless it's necessary. At least until you glean some good info out of it.

As it stands though, I feel like a sitting duck. A problem I forsee with this system is that any innocent that gains a role will be targetted for night kill or conversion. Our chances get even worse if people that volunteer are mafia.

With this train of thought, I agree that we should probably spread out the people who get roles.

If the powers are transient, what is the big deal? Can cult convert during the day?  Even if we think before is a bad idea, what about after?

MOD QUESTION: Is the cult leader classified as human or zombie.

The Cult Leader is a zombie, but does not have a Post Restriction.

More people that have to put info out there, more likely someone contradicts or paints self into corner if lieing.. my thinking at least..

You may vote to lynch any suspected zombie day or night by voting in blue. The vote count will be reset to -0- at every dawn.

Folks, I think you're operating with a misconception.  As I understand it, blue voting will lynch anyone, zombie or innocent; the only difference is we can blue vote day or night, and votes will count from dawn til dawn.

So, if it takes 10 to lynch, and, say, 6 people blue vote CTM during the day, and another four that night, he will die - whether he's a zombie or not.

DPR, can you confirm?

Because if this is just a test vote (i.e. zombies will die but nobody else will), we ought to quickly run through everyone.  But I really, really, don't think that's the way this is working, and we'll only be doing the mafia favors by using this now.

There are no test votes - Kiv's CTM scenario is correct.

I think it's worth mentioning though, that even if three people go on a mission, only one might get a role.

Anyway to change this 12 posts per page thing? lol

On topic, I would love to see a clarification about the blue vote. It can't be that it only kills zombies and that any townie chosen would live. That makes no sense. With the unpredictable nature of this game. I am not sure that testing it out would be the prudent choice.

Both blue and red lynch votes will kill the player voted for. Upon death, their alignment and any roles will be revealed.

Mod Clarification: If a volunteer member of a mission does gain a role, and they return after only 24 hours, the role may be used during the day upon their return. They will, however, not be able to use the role again that night. They used it early for that Day/Night cycle, and cannot use it again until the following night.

Vote Counts forthcoming.

Following night? Does that mean roles are kept???

I normally agree with that train of thought in a normal setup, but power roles are funnelled down into 3 people. Odds are worse if mafia is involved in the volunteer mission, that's 50-50 on hitting the power role. See my concern? Actually, now that i've described it, it might be better if we reveal all we can, because the chances you stay alive are slim.

Might as well ask you while your here :P

Can players die on missions?  I'm not talking about being lynched.  Can they be killed while they're out exploring.  I assumed so, but best to get clarification.

Anyways, back to the game.

So, two votes to kill.  And apparently only the blue vote can kill zombies, but zombies aren't all it can kill.

Nothing really to go on for voting, as per usual.  Day 1's suck.  blah blah blah.

I'll have a little re-read and think a bit before I do anything right away.

Actually, DPR said here: http://www.myndjack.com/forums/index.php?topic=3298.msg216222#msg216222

Any red vote will be counted towards a regular lynch. Any red vote.

Any blue vote will be counted towards a zombie lynch. Any blue vote.

Any majority vote will result in a dead player - really dead - no funny stuff. heh

You can vote for anyone. A person on a mission cannot vote, but you can vote for them.

I'm assuming that what DPR said about game setup on MJ counts on DM and vice versa.  And that I didn't break any unspoken rule by talking about one on the other.  :P

Hybrid's right.  Regardless of color, they die.  It looks like it is just for points.

Speaking of which, as I'm in both games, I shouldn't play favorites.  I'll go for a tie.  ;D
