A three-minute trailer for ABC's upcoming reinvention of the classic 80's mini-series "V" has been released showing off scenes from the drama starring Elizabeth MItchell ("Lost"), Joel Gretsch ("The 4400"), Scott Wolf ("Party of Five"), Morena Baccarin ("Stargate: SG-1") and Laura Vandervoort ("Smallville").

 

The story follows the world's first encounter with an alien race in which the aliens call themselves The Visitors, and have a seemingly friendly agenda that may or may not be a cover for something more malevolent.

I love this mini series from back in the day.  I know the first few minutes look like Independence Day but this is how it happened in the old series.
